nice

Well Pujols is back. Glad he waited that extra day.

Minor issue here, but how is Pujols the "power performer of the night". ESPNEWS blows, I know Pujols had a GREAT night, but his team lost. The winner of this award should be Ryan Freel, who was 5 for 5 with 2 stolen bases, 2 runs scored, 2 doubles, great defense, and his team won 3-0 over the suddenly PATHETIC Indians.

Rowand had a throw in Fenway that reminded me of on he made last season in Seattle.

Ortiz with another walk off. It's gotten to the point where if he doesn't come through in that situation, its a shock.

Do my eyes deceive me? Did Pappelbon blow a save today?

A home run down the right field line that just hooked around the pole. Not a home run in any other park. His era doubled from a whopping .23 to .46...

The Youkilis double to tie it was equally as impressive as the walk. What a ballgame.

8 game losing streak.. oh man.. I feel like crap!

Bet you can't wait till you're through playing the AL Central.

Boo, Arod goes walkoff for the Yanks when they were trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the 11th.

Forgot to mention, did anyone see Roger Clemens go off on the ump yesterday? And I quote "Hey you f***ing homo, check yourself." Wonder if ESPN would care about that gay slur?

just in case you missed it, apparently the white sox are awful now

:rolly

John Patterson was just taken out of the game in the 4th inning against the Blue Jays. He was throwing 91-92 MPH at the beginning of the game but by the start of the 4th inning he was down around 85-86. Something is wrong with Patterson's arm . . . again.

the A's/Padres tilt when 14 innings

Chan Ho Park had to pinch hit in the bottom of 13

A's win 8-7

both teams struck out 15 times

Adam Dunn is NOT clutch.

Wow, we got a first place tie in the NL Central.

Cardinals had bases loaded and nobody out in the bottom of the 10 and couldn't score.

Teahan leads off the 11th with a solo homer. Go figure.

Just wow.. I show my face in shame right now!

WOW! 2 HR's were robbed yesterday. Did anyone see Gary Matthew's catch. That was sick. That's right up there w/ Rowands full-speed crash into the wall for play of the year

Kinney in, Perez out

Josh Kinney has been called up from Memphis and is expected to be present by game time, though I didn't see him in the clubhouse before I headed upstairs at 11:30 a.m. CT. Kinney threw two innings for Memphis last night, but needed only 21 pitches to do so, and TLR says he's available to pitch today.

Timo Perez is out, though at this minute I'm not sure of the actual transaction -- DFA or waived or what. I don't believe he can be optioned.

That leaves the Cards with 13 pitchers, a situation that obviously won't last for very long.
