Smoking banned at US Cellular

Featured Replies

From today's White Sox fan advisory.

• In accordance with the City of Chicago's Clean Indoor Act of 2005, smoking now is prohibited in virtually all areas of U.S. Cellular Field. Smoking will be allowed in clearly-marked areas on ramps 2, 3, 5 and 6 only.

What a country, you can burn the American flag but you can't light a smoke at an outdoor stadium because of the INDOOR air act. Some things I just don't get.

Good, good.

I am glad as well. Now, I wonder if my mom will ever attend a game with me again...

No smoking at the stadium = good :)

Good thing if you ask me.

f***.Yes. What really pisses me off is the people who will sneek in a smoke in the stands. Don't you love when the people sitting behind you blow smoke in your face!

This is welcomed in my book. Good move.

Great news... :cheers

good news indeed

:headbang

This ban has really always been there, they just never enforced it. Except probably in the bar and behind the bleachers, I don't know if it was permitted there or not.

alright. nice to hear.

Doubt it. I see a ton of people getting away with it at games.

I do as well and that type of thing really pisses me off. Hopefully that will be taken care of though.

She can still smoke there, just out on the ramps in designated spots.

Im a big fan of this... Im guessing it will be enforced more than last time because of the smoking ban in Chicago now and everything. Only a year and it will be effective in Cook County too which will be great.

love this

now I won't have to have my shirt over my nose while I'm in the concession line :P
