Does Garland have a clause in his contract that states he must allow at least one baserunner every inning?

He does actually.

Garland looks s***tier every inning.

he actually got fined last year when he didnt allow a baserunner. it was an ugly situation.

AJP = Warning Track Power. If this was last year, I would have wondered if he was off the juice.

I will take the singles and doubles .300+ hitting AJP over the homer happy AJP of last season.

Garland has got to keep his change down in the zone.

He had a bunch of barely-HRs at Comiskey last year -- Ones that would be doubles in most parks, and certainly his old home parks -- His doubles were also down.

He entered last season hitting a HR on about 7% of his Flyballs. In 2005, he doubled that to 14% of his flyballs going for HRs.

He's not a HR hitter at all. 10-14 is all we should expect.

even when he gets 3 up 3 down he still allows baserunners

Hopefully tonight can be the first time all year we've won with 3 subs in the starting lineup.

Ugh....one of the ugliest hitting innings of the season for the Sox.

Random question but how has Ross looked in right the past few games? Has he at least been serviceable out there?

He's Timo-esque, but he doesn't really belong in right with his arm.

Come on SOX. Lets get some runs.

Didn't Elarton shut us down last time, too? His pitch count is pretty low.

Following game on MLB, not on in Bama. Wish Thome could have made contact. He will K on occaision and I am not complaining in any way, Just a slow night.

Yes he's looked fine, much to my surprise. I guess they've had him out there working out.

1-2-3 for Garland, halfway home. The Sox will get to Elarton either this inning or next.

This game f***ing blows.

I dont ever remember a more boring game than this.

he really is the only respectable royals SP. He's pretty consistent.

At least garland seems to be back on track, not too many balls being hit hard.

We are playing the Royals, but it is a step up from his last outing against this lowly bunch.

Lets go! 2 out rally time
