Conan just did a joke about Ozzie for his 'In the Year 2000' bit.

The first 100 pages of Sox and the City have been very good. I would recommend the book to all of you, we can all relate to Roeper's story.

Did you know...

Jon Garland (.500) and Freddy Garcia (.333) are #s 1 & 3 respectively in batting average on the Sox this year?

The Sox are one game off of last years pace.

Sox have 3 grand slams in the last 5 games vs the Astros.

Also, the Sox have more wins at home than 3 other teams have in total.

First time in White Sox history hitting a grand slam in all 3 games of a series. First MLB team since the '93 Tigers to do it.

So did Montero get a save yesterday? he pitched three good innings of relief....

First off your team has to win to get a save. Second, you have to be the last pitcher in the game to be eligible for a save.

I think you quoted the wrong quote :P

Bah. Yeah, that was in response to the Montero save question...

I had a few beers in me Friday night at the Cell, so I could be wrong. Did I see Southpaw trying to start the wave?

Wow. I can't believe you just asked that. Next time check the box score to save yourself from embarassment.

Awesome sig!

I just had to post and say the Detroit Tigers are pissing me off.

They win every single fricking day.

Geez give me a break ... turn back into the Tigers you bunch of stiffs!

Is Anderson's suspension over now?

Yes. The last game against Houston was the 5th game.

Much like the Indians of last year, they are feeding on the NL.

we go 9 in a row and lose one in extra innings, and after all that they gain a game on us??

what a f***ing tough team to catch up too

i'm sure they feel the same way about us.

Has anyone else had trouble getting on the Sox main web site? I'm getting this error:

I picked a Tigers game in August as I wanted my first game to be a positive experience and thought it might be an easy win. How wrong could I be? Looks like it could be a crunch game now.

nothing better than pennant race baseball :cheers

Way off-topic I imagine, but:

Does anyone have the sound clips of the John Rooney calls from the World Series? The two I am looking to acquire are the Uribe catch-in-the-stands and the final out. If anyone has 'em, I'd appreciate it if I could have them sent to me, or a link posted or something. Thanks!
