You know, McCarthy really should have been traded for something that could help our team. If the manager has a staff with all pitchers with 4+ ERAs, and 3 of them have 5+ ERA post-ASB, and he's still refusing to start a pitcher who basically bailed the team out at this time last year, then what does that say about Ozzie's opinion on McCarthy?

Nah, this is funny in one of those bad ways. I was thinking about this earlier: I get pissed off when we lose this year, but it's not even close to the emotions I had around this time last year. I remember feeling like my body temperature increase by 20 degrees when Bobby Jenks blew a save against Aaron Boone.

With our inability to get get any kind of consistency out of the rotation, and the Twins just man-handling us constantly, I'm starting to think this year is over.

I wonder what an extra day off for each one of our pitchers would do. You know, have McCarthy be the 6th starter.

The only positive that can come out of this game would be for McCarthy to throw four-five dominant innings, really forcing Ozzie and Coop's hand.

This game is over. Hopefully Buerhle will have something tomorrow or a sweep is assured. This game makes it 7 out of 8 the Twins have taken from the Sox, including the last 5 at USCF.
