Any word on how he has preformed in Charlotte? Has he been able to hit 90 yet, or go multiple innings with any success? A solid month from a guy like Dustin could be HUGE for the playoff run with guys like Cotts, Riske, and Brandon looking a little rough right now.

Of recent Sox players I would like to see as coaches, he and Sandy would top my list. And you know how this organization likes to bring players back to coach.

dustin hermanson, to this day, is the biggest unsung hero of the 2005 white sox....no he didnt do anything down the stretch and in the postseason, but people forget that this guy had 34 saves, and converted like 24 of his first 25...while shingo had 6....so dustin coulda ended up with 40 saves for us...not to mention not giving up a run in his first 24 innings or something....just saying as far as regular season heroes go from last year...dustins right up there

And I wish him success elsewhere next season. I'm REALLY glad that Kenny nabbed MacDougal and Riske and decided to take a chance on Thornton.

Plus the fact that he tutored Jenks, got him into a closer's mentality.

Very, very thankful for what he did last year and I agree that he is one of the unsung hero's of the Championship team but that being said, he's toast.

Hopefully the White Sox are activating him out of respect for his effort to try to pitch. I hope to God they don't throw him out there in a situation when the game is on the line.
