Gamethread: 9/12, Sox v. Angels

Featured Replies

Let's keep it up. I'm on a three thread winning streak, and am feeling superstitutious. Let's rip the Angels to shreds.

Mark Buehrle will have a great game. He is due, and not a better time then tonight.

Will the RallyGage be in attendence...?

I think we can touch Santana around a bit (although, before the game, I hope that Walker and Guillen tell the team that they are not, in fact, facing Johan). Ervin has been mediocre-to-bad in his last three starts. We need to continue that trend.

The thing I really don't like is Buehrle vs the Angels lineup. Buehrle vs Guerrero + Rivera, specifically, scare the **** out of me.

Let's get a win. The White Sox need to win every series the rest of the season, let's go.

Change that for you. :D

I hope Vincente Padilla and Kirk Sarloos both pitch brilliantly tonight...

I dont like our odds tonight. Beurhle is quickly becoming my least favorite sox pitcher not named Flamethrower Freddy. Ervin Santana = good. But thats why they play the game. :gosox3:

mark has got to step it up for this team to make "the run".

the starters have been on the right track these past couple weeks, keep it going.

Come on Mark...you can take these guys, you've done it before.

I really hope his back is feeling ok.

Hope to God Buehrle has control of his fastball and changup! his change up seems to dictate everything.

mow 'em down mark. :gosox1:

This is the type of guy that we usually can get to. A guy with good stuff who challenges across the plate is someone we usually can handle vs a crafy lefty who can barely crack 80. Now thats the guy who shuts this team down.

Let's give the Angels a solid beating, and hope that the Twins lose so we can gain some ground.

No more dicking around Mark, it's time to step up.

huge game

as hawk would say, this game is important for the psyche of our team

mark has been the staple of our rotation for the last few years, and nows the time to prove he still is

Lets Go Mark!

Please no butcher of Bridgeport in CF, and no Prancer in LF.

LETS DO THIS s***

Tonight's Lineup

Pods, LF; Iguchi, 2B; Dye, RF; Thome, DH; PK, 1B; AJ, C; Crede, 3B; Mack, CF; Uribe, SS. Buehrle on the mound.

I hate my life.

WTF!!!!!!!!

I had a chance to go to this game. I just saw our outfield, and I'm glad I didn't.

my god with Buerhle on the mound I do not want Mack in cf right now

I thought the idea of ozzie using his subs was so his starters would be rested for the stretch run and playoffs

Since the All-Star Break, Rob Mackowiak is is hitting (AVG OBP Slug) .254 .299 .352. Against righties since the AS Break, .259 .302 .379.

INSTANT OFFENSE.

Since the All-Star Break, Brian Anderson is hitting .277 .324 .409. Against righties since the AS break, Brian Anderson is hitting .277 .333 .446.

BRIAN ANDERSON CANNOT HIT RIGHTIES. ONLY LEFTIES CAN HIT RIGHTIES.

That's where you're wrong. Our guys have to be rested for winterball. Winterball. We are gonna kick some major arse in winterball.
