I usually don't watch the VMA's cuz their garbage but was slightly interested in what Spears was gonna do. Awful, awful, awful. I can't even put it into words.

Looks like Kanye was right considering his performance was pretty damn good. I didn't watch Spears though.(thank god)

Spears made it to You Tube yet? I could search, but this was easier.

i posted it on the second page of the Kanye West Thread

That thread inevitably went towards the trainwreck instead of his comments

saw Rush last month at the Hollywood Bowl - they played almost nothing but their new album (which meant I didnt know any of the songs) but you know what? I LOVED IT. They're amazing musicians, and just being there was awesome - who cares if I didnt know any of the songs. Also, I'm a punk rocker, so I didnt want to admit that I had even been there, let alone like what I heard, but I loved it - they were brilliant.

What do you call someone who hangs around musicans?

Drummer.

I can't get enough Lori McKenna or Edith Piaf. . .

How do you know when the drum riser is level?

The drool flows evenly from both sides of the drummer's mouth.

2001 is still in my CD player 8 years later.

In news nobody gives a crap about:

Tommy Lee quit Motley Crue:

Who ever actually knew Motley was still a functioning band, please raise your hand.

I did. I saw them two years ago. Great show - they still had it.

As for Tommy, he's quit before. They got a super hot chick to play drums on the New Tattoo tour.

No, touring doesn't count as a "real band". They only do that when they need food again.

writing & recording new songs doesn't count as a real band either? You sure have some strange definitions.

When did they write and record again? New Tattoo?

Last night I went record shopping and found "Infinity Within" by Dee-Lite for $1.99. The album nobody heard.

That album is sooooo good.

I just picked up Neil Young tickets

20th floor on the main level, not bad.

Pls listen to this band. I don't think I've ever really been a fan of a band until I saw these guys - the Gay Blades. I have now watched them live for the eighth or ninth time this year. They just put out a record - "Ghosts" - as far as an unsigned, doing it completely on their own, band goes - this is an incredibly polished and well constructed album.

I liked "O Shot" and "NHDN", although they have that "I've heard this before" vibe to them.

Yeah, I kinda think of them as the White Stripes with talent. I think this album is really well constructed for a first effort, but their live show blows it away.

I really like this band and that is great cover art

I am really enjoying hearing Cadillac using the song Stars by Hum in their commercials. I love that band
