That and the fact that the poster said there were no survivors or witnesses so you knew they weren't going to escape.

Which still would of been ok if the ending wouldn't have been exactly what was shown in the preview.. and its not like I was mad that it was "ruined" or anything like that.. I would have just rather seen something that I hadn't seen so many times already from previews and posters

I don't mind Brad Pitt at all. I think he is pretty talented. Now that Milkman mentioned it, his best roles are in supporting. 12 Monkeys, Snatch, True Romance (Yes!). I think he is fine in leading roles as well. Looking forward to him in the Tarantino WWII flick.

So the wife made me take her to a movie tonight. For some reason, she picked "Changeling". I can confidently state it's the most pointless movie I've ever seen. Just a total waste of 2 1/2 hours. Honestly, I would have been more entertained if I saw HSM3.

Like I said, I'm a fan of Smith, but I am NOT a fan of Seth Rogen.

Roger Ebert liked the movie, but he liked Boogie Nights too, so maybe he's just a fan of any movie about porn.

Boogie Nights is a great f***ing movie. He wasn't the only one who liked it as well as it has a score of 85 on metacritic.com. and 96% on rottentomatoes.

 

Paul Thomas Anderson should make more movies.

Friday the 13th has always been the weakest of the well known horror series, so they can pretty much make him an abomination of his former self and I won't care much. Hell, he was teleporting all over the place in part 8, Jason Takes Manhattan. It couldn't hurt having some running ability.

I don't know how it is a straight up remake because of that.. It may not be a sequel but I dont think that means it has to be a remake of the first one, could just be a new one that is just dated back closer to when it all started..

I enjoyed it, but also felt a little tricked. Instead of making totally raunchy comedy, he just disguised a chick flick with porno in the title.

 

Lots of funny lines and scenes, but at it's core, it's a chick flick/date movie. It's like a raunchy Chasing Amy.

 

Oh, and I hate Justin Long, but he steals the movie when on camera.

I heard on the radio that Long was great as well.

The movie pulled in a little over 10 mil this weekend, making it the #2 movie in America behind High School Musical 3.

It was the #1 movie among people with pubic hair, though....

Dude, I don't see how you could ever describe that movie as a date movie... seriously. It's raunchy as hell, especially one very hilariously sick scene that had the entire theater laughing for about 10 minutes.

 

Yeah, in the end, it's a love story, but that doesn't make it a chick flick.

 

Now onto a review of the movie... it was "ok". Darrell from "The Office" had the funniest lines, whiel the story in whole wasn't taht great. Of course, being Kevin Smith, it had some good one-liners, and some very strong stand-alone scenes. Brandon Routh (Superman) and Justin Long were really funny together, while Seth Rogan played the same character he always has.

 

In the end, it was Kevin Smith trying to rip off a Judd Apatow film casting the actors he uses often. It's enjoyable, and has some laugh-out-loud moments, but in the end is a movie I won't want to see a second time. I don't believe Kevin Smith's story that the MPAA to tried to give this film an NC-17 rating, and unedited he managed to get them to change it to an R rating. There was no reason for it to be rated NC-17.

 

Jason Mewes (Jay of Jay and Silent Bob), is ho-hum in this one as well.

 

That's all I've got. It's NOT a f***ing date movie though. Unless you want your date pissed at you for a few hours afterwards.

BTW, I did enjoy Charlie Wilson's War.

HAHA, you better find a new girl then. I would say there were more chicks in the theater than guys on Saturday. I think they can handle some raunchy jokes.

They may have been there, but I presume they weren't too happy about the decision to see that movie when all was said and done. I'll keep my "girl" thank you very much.

my gf went in with the same attitude of "I'm going to walk out if I don't like it, and I'm going to try my best to not like it" and she ended up liking the movie more than I did. I thought the ending sucked (didn't stay around the credits long enough apparently) and it was a sappy-love story.
