long time man, fellas are looking reals good this year. Still impressed over that complete dismantling road win at BC last Saturday. Hear anything about Chalmers aside from the normal FUD?

good to see you back my right hand man.

he had a minor groin pull, if it wasnt Loylola MD, he would have played.

I cant wait to see Sasha v. Aleks Maric on saturday, Kaun always playsh is best versus him.

I found out Sasha's real name is Alexander. Good thing he went with the much manlier Sasha....

Tubby got his first Big 10 win tonight against Northwestern. It started looking sketchy in the start of the second half, but a Gopher run took care of it rather quickly, and ended up winning 82-63. Blake Hoffarber is a studly sharp-shooter, and clearly needs to be on the floor more, and it looks like Dan Coleman finally showed up, which is cool.

NU is so incredibly terrible inside. :chair

OSU rips Iowa a new one.

The old one's been ripped enough.

And Spencer Tollackson still couldn't get more than 4 rebounds. It's sort of pathetic, really.

Anyone see that Kenny George kid out of UNC Asheville, 7'7", blocking machine. If he had any speed or agility he would be an easy top pick in the draft. Might be interesting if this team makes the tourney and doesn't play an up tempo offense.

Kenny is a great story. He battled knee problems for 3 years and is just now trying to get conditioned again. He's 7'9 in sneakers and well over 350 pounds. He can dunk with his feet touching the ground. Here's a shot of Tyler finally scoring on him.

Kenny has size 25 feet and had Shaq send him several pairs of his 22 size shoes and he had the toes cut off and extended. The picture above is of Kenny standing on the ground, look at how big his hands are to the ball. He made 6'9 Tyler and 6'7 Deon Thompson look like little kids.

I remember NIU recruiting him somewhat out of high school, but backed off him when we got a verbal from Cyrus Tate. Problem is, Tate didn't qualify, went JUCO, and ended up at Iowa. Anyways, I hope that kid continues to improve, you know he'll get a shot in the NBA just with that size, but the problem is he can't run right now.

Randle goes up for the drunk, instead the ball gets caught inbetween the rim and backboard, what a joke he is.

In other news, Illini are miraculously only down 6 with 13 minutes left against wiscy. Shooting around 30%, sweet.

For an academically smart guy (very smart) he has an awfully low basketball IQ.

The sun rises and the illini lose....goes hand in hand

I can't wait for Randle to graduate.

Academic and athletic aptitude have NOTHING in common, it's one of sports most common misconceptions. Some of the smartest players you'll ever find are dumber than a box of rocks, then you get guys like Randle who are as intelligent academically as any player you can find anywhere, but he's the definition of a dumb player. Any player who is smart (or dumb) both athletically and academically is simply a coincidence.

KU has lost in the first round like twice in ten years...i guess we forget the eliite 8's in like 4/6 years recently.

but dont worry illinois has a good recruiting class coming in in 2012, not that the big boys wont have better and more talented classes.

I love my weber...bam :)

I'm hoping that this year puts to rest the myth that Bruce Weber is a better coach than Bill Self in any aspect on the college game (recruiting, player development, in-game, you name it). Self is an elite coach of an elite program and somehow managed to stay classy when Weber pulled his mock funeral and "I almost beat Self with SIU" junk for absolutely no reason other than insecurity (I presume). I hope Self sends Weber a postcard from the championship game this season, because that's the only way Weber is going to see one again.

With the front of the post card being MVP of the tourney, Darnell Jackson.
