I'd really like to say something about trade value and two certain players, but I'll refrain for now.

I love John Danks

It was important to get that win... now we head to Detroit to keep their losing streak alive!

John f***ing Danks :cheers

I love the new efficient Danks!

Danks gives me hope. Wow. 2 hits! NICE.

99 more of these threads would be nice. Cleveland won't get 2-hit many times this year.

Danks you very much.

Great to win these close games with our O struggling. :headbang

Going into the season, everyone was more worried about the Danks, Count, Floyd combo instead of Buerhle + Vazquez.....opening series shows the opposite.....too early though, but still funny

Detoilet losing 3-0 against the Royals and Cabrera is injured (out with quads issue), so maybe we avoid getting Miggy Cabrera starting tomorrow.... :gosox3:

It'd be great to see Danks continue these types of performances throughout the year. Keep in mind, he was a top prospect not too long ago, and did just add another pitch. Hopefully he can stay consistent, a good third starter would be HUGE for this team.

We should just do that every time.

In the 1st half of last year, he did get horrible run support too.....I hope our O is more of what we saw in 1st game and less of what we saw in the last 2 games.

If the Count and Danks can have solid seasons I think the Sox will suprise people this year. I know MB and Javy didn't light the world on fire in their 1st starts, but I think they'll have solid years and the bullpen hopefully is better, well scratch that, it basically has to be better... Hopefully the bullpen will be solid

My first game thread.. and it's a 2-1 victory! I'm gonna claim the credit for this win ;)

JK, but in all seriousness, what a game. Danks really surprised me. He worked his ass off this offseason, apparently.

4-0 royals now, with runners on 1st and 3rd

Ive always been a big fan of Grienke.... its nice to see him do well against someone other than the whitesox.

Great win....I'm excited to go home and watch the full game on DVR.

Add to those bright spots Dotel and Linebrink!

Only downer was the continued bad defensive play of Dye. I'd like to see him pulled out for a defensive replacement about the seventh inning of every game.

The Sox coaching staff also needs to go over outfield fundamentals with him and explain to him that the CF is captain out there.

Yeah, I want to catch some of the replay to see how Danks looked.

Danks will still have his struggles, but I still believe he will be at least a league average starter throughout his career and I can see him being as good as an average #2 starter (and that is pretty darn good, imo).
