He doesn't have the arm to make that play. That's not even meant as a negative comment. We really were spoiled with Uribe's cannon at that position.

I will be so happy once JD is a DH and not in the field. Everytime a ball is hit to right it scares me. He is slow and gets bad reads on balls.

It's corpseball. Solo home runs but can't manufacture a run to save our lives. This offense is so flawed it's pathetic.

But we are getting timely hitting in April for the most part. It worries me because you can't always count on timely hitting to win games. I'd much rather have the average around .270 than .245 with timely hitting. Obviously wins are the most important stat so however that happens is ok by me, but it'd be better getting more hits.

Our approach has changed. The first week or 2, we were drawing a ton of walks (which we still are) but we were hitting opposite field, moving guys along, and we were hitting the gaps. Now, we're looking to pull and to hit home runs.

Nice Offense Walk. Wear a mask when you get your paycheck this month. A year and a half of this garbage and you keep getting a paycheck.

 

Last in BA, the OBP is dropping we are now 7th in the league. We are scoring 40% of our runs via the dong. The most in a long time. Teams should just chuck the ball down the plate, we can find a way of getting ourselves out.
