Think about it this way....we've only had 2 or 3 offensive players hot at the same time this whole season. If our starting pitching struggled out of the gates, we could be 5 games below .500. I'll gladly take where our record is at, and hope the offense turns it around.

This could be partially true. Making the team worse isn't the way to do it. If the organization was as confident as you say they are in Owens, he would be up here with the club.

Batting average is one of the worst indicators of a good offense. kansas city and minnesota are both in the top 10 for batting avg and both havent even score 100 runs yet.
