Great game by everyone except Crede.

 

I love Crede but lately I can't tell the difference between him and the ironically-named Josh Fields out there.

The good thing is the Sox bullpen gave up runs that didn't cost the game. Now they can go back to shutting down teams when it counts.

And THAT is why you don't give up on a 27 year old player with a strong history of major league success after a whole 2 months of sub-par offensive production.

Cut Swisher. And trade Thome.

 

Also, has any team given more shaving cream pies than this year's White Sox?

wite might get his wish. Crede might end the season as a 40/40 player.

 

so long as I get my other wish of Crede in a different uniform next year, that'd be just fine my me.

I know you are joking here, wite, (Thome being top 25 in AL OPS even before tonights big game) and others are pointing out how silly it was for people to be all over Swisher's case for a slow start while he's clearly an excellent player. But you guys need to realize, if Soxtalk posters couldn't complain about them, what could they complain about? Virtually nothing- which would have been a tragedy.

 

Do you think Crede might be afraid of re injuring his back and so it distracts him on the field?

I think he's just trying to give the White Sox the home town discount in a not so subtle manner.

Wasn't pretty in the end, but a win is a win. Floyd's curve was filthy tonight...filthy.

Swish finishes June with 23 RBIs, 7 HRs .315 average and .402 OBP. Not bad, not bad at all.

When he's gettin' it over, Floyd's curve rivals any other pitcher's best pitch in all of baseball. Just nasty.

I feel like its Toby Hall who is always doing it. I get the impression he's the kind of guy in the clubhouse who seemed funny for the first two weeks of the season but slowly everyone gets tired of his repetitive actions, but he has no clue that everyone hates him. Just a guess.

 

 

Or maybe he should just lose 20 pounds.

Nah, I think the Sox really like Hall. At least it seems that way. Hell, everyone seems to be having fun in that clubhouse and its awesome to see because when everyone's having fun its usually because the team is winning (because when your not winning there isn't any way shape or fashion that a team can truly be having "fun").

 

Note: I'm saying winning leads to the clubhouse being fun (well its more of a pre-requisite so to speak).

Swish broke out of his slump when he wore Toby Hall's pants. Its magic.

Boy that was ugly, but it's a big W. A sweep would be nice, but if we just split against C.C. and Lee, we win the series and send them out of town 10 and a half back and (at best) in a tie with Kansas City in the cellar. I'll take it.

I've been thinking that all year. He's offensive numbers overall are still really good, but he's just not planting at all on throws or even when he bends over to pick the ball up on grounders. He's all legs right now on defense, and that's no good.

That grounder right between his legs the other night was just bad. He is obviously thinking too much about how he moves around rather than just doing it automatically. I can understand why that fear is there, but at some point you just gotta loosen up let it go.

Floyd's control was pretty bad in the first inning. Did he manage to settle down more after that in terms of throwing strikes?
