Do you realize how big that DH is?? Man pennant races are scary. Let's face it, Minnie is going to sweep KC. The games probably won't be even close. KC is in the tank. They have quit on their little dictator of a manager who has done a piss poor job this season.

Hope we bring our A game(s) tomorrow.

I remember I thought Cleveland was going to sweep Tampa Bay near the end of 2005. That's why they play the games. Will see what happens.

The real cause for concern is how this screws up the pitchers and their rest. Javy won't be able to make his next scheduled start, so a callup will probably get the start. Rain could be costing us a game like it did with that Orioles game.

With the way the Twins are playing lately, they'd be lucky to sweep a little league team.

Do you realize you have been making statements like this since July

Lineup:

OC - SS

AJP - C

Dye - RF

Thome

PK - 1b

Junior - CF

Alexei - 2B

Swish - LF

Uribe - 3B

if AJ is 1-11 lifetime vs. Burnett, shouldnt he be playing the 2nd game instead?

I'll be listening at work. Which means I wont really be working. GO SOX!

There is a leftie going in game number 2.

Just my ability to know who is right handed and who is left handed. I thought he was left handed.

The Jays are hot, but wow, it'd sure be nice to have a 3.5 game lead after today.

maybe they asked Richard who he is more comfortable with?

Ozzie clearly doesn't look at matchups. Toby Hall actually hits Burnett well, too.

Of course, Swisher was 4-40 against Lackey...now 5-43 after Saturday.

You may see Phillips in the second game then. I suppose he caught him in AAA.

I was thinking 4.0...

Toby Hall .958 OPS against Burnett in 9 plate appearances

AJ Pierzynski .258 OPS against Burnet in 12 plate appearance.

I dunno but I play Hall here and Litsch in the nightcap, although AJ is ofer against Litsch (Hall hasnt faced Litsch).

9 and 12 plate appearances is a pretty small sample size. Just go with the better hitter (AJ) or maybe it's the sub in the second game who is more familiar with that pitcher.

A nice round 15 for the magic number even sounds better.

Can't walk .200 hitters

sucked it was a 1,2,3 inning, but at least they got Burnett to pitch 18.

Nice quick inning by Javy...

Stoney with Mark Grace & Shawn Dunston comparisons in the same inning...

Nice quick easy 9 pitch inning there.

nice at bat paulie.

So, can this offense get to double digits in this 4 game series? We didn't come close at Toronto. I wonder if the Blue Jays would win the AL Central if they were in the division.
