Home Depot will take them, they have a bin by the Returns area (at least the one on Elston in Logan Square near you does).

Cool thanks.

Teaches me to buy the cheapest brand.

He's going to change it to a picture of a Prime Rib actually.

Joined Xsport fitness recently. What a zoo that place is. Is it ever not bursting at the seams?

I go to the one you probably do (Logan), and the one in south loop (State Street). Both are crowded in the evenings, and on weekends its hit and miss. You want it empty, go in the early AM before work.

But at least they are clean, and the lockerrooms aren't disgusting, which is the biggest reason I moved from Bally to XSport.

No doubt on the locker rooms. I felt it was only a matter of time until I contracted some sort of fungus or rare disease by spending any time in the Ballys locker room.

Speaking of which, I have athlete's foot right now and it feels like my foot is on fire. I call the doctor since the OTC stuff isn't working fast enough and they are talking about May 14. LOL. Are all doctors this full of s***? I'll be damned if I have to go to an urgent care center and pay a 50 dollar deductible.

Well, go the Madonna route and start peeing on your feet in the shower. That will clean that stuff right up

Best health care system in the world! And yes, getting in to a doctor in 2 weeks is still fairly lucky.

Seriously, that was my first thought. Isn't that just about the main complaint, that it would take forever to get an appointment? So how's that different from now, where I can't get a doctor to take a glance at a flaming blister on my foot that makes me limp for 5 minutes for 6 weeks?

For all the complaints I had about the military's healthcare system, if I was sick or otherwise in pain, I'd get seen within a few hours or at the latest that next morning, not weeks later.

My wife has had to wait over a month repeatedly for appointments for things causing a Hell of a lot of pain. And that was while she was insured. Now we just kind of live with those things.

And you don't think it will get worse? It has to because now you will throw that many more people into the system.

So, your solution to the health care problems in this country are to keep people from using the health care system because otherwise waits will get too long. Get rid of 15-20% of the population and we fix everything.

Like I said, best system in the world!

OK, this is a dumb question because I don't see myself ever in this position, but with all the talk about the Obamas and protocal when meeting the English Monarchs i was wondering what is a normal U.S. citizen expected to do? Say I am visiting London and for whatever reason I encounter the Queen. I wouldn't feel comfortable bowing and I don't think I'm expected to, or am I because I'm on their turf? Anyone have a clue?

What system is better?

And I will also contend you have a choice. If you don't like your doctor's wait time, change your doctor.

change your doctor.

I think I'm going to after my next appointment. I really don't like how the woman on the phone talked to me when I asked for a referral. As if to say "who are you to know you need a referral, why are you trying to jump over our head?" Like I'm stupid.

You really think our insurance was going to allow that? We tried. Especially for any sort of specialist or scan, we had 1 place to go and that was it. But thankfully there was no bureaucrat making the decisions for us. That'd be awful.

I'm not trying to get too personal... but where did you live? That doesn't sound right to me at all.

Anyway, to the next catch-all.

I'm enjoying our 45 mph sustained winds and 60 mph gusts that we have had the last 4 hours this morning. I've already had one section of fence blow down in our back yard, I'm waiting for more to fall.

It's supposed to last 4 more hours.

A couple of years ago, my primary physician went into private practice. No way was I paying an extra $2000 just to call him my doctor. I was so comfortable with him that I still haven't found another primary doctor. I just go to the guy my dad goes to.

Changing doctors isn't that easy for me. Does that make me wierd?

Not at all. It's difficult to find someone you trust.

But, at the same time, you do have to look out for yourself and it becomes something that you need to decide.

I havent been to a doctors appt in probably over 5 years. I am like my old man, unless my arm is chopped off or something of that matter I just wait it out. Not the smart thing to do ,I know.

I have a reacurring condition where I have to have a procedure done every 6 months. I only trust my one doctor with it cuz he knows everything about my health history. He is just a specialist, not my physician, so I kinda have a doctor I trust. Obviously, if I had strep throat, I wouldn't waste his time with that. Ha

Typical ER person. I'm guessing you smoke as well?
