Great game Cards....what a pathetic bullpen.

How does this team win games like this?

All 7 runs scored with 2 outs today. Cards couldn't get a clutch hit after the 3rd inning.

So is Aramis still unclutch? Oh right, Crede doesn't play here anymore.

I'm disappointed to see Angel Guzman finally get the win. I was hoping he would finish his career win less.

They've got some talented young arms. They're just all inexperienced and incredibly inconsistent.

Q: What do the New York Yankees and the Chicago Cubs have in common?

A: Neither team has won a World Series since moving into its new ball park.

A student of proctology is in the morgue one day after classes, getting a little practice in before the final exams. He goes over to a table where a body is lying face down. He uncovers the sheet over the body, and to his surprise he finds a cork in the corpse's rectum. Figuring that this is fairly unusual, he pulls the cork out, and to his surprise, the rectum starts singing, "Hey Chicago what do you say... the Cubs are gonna..."

The student is amazed, and places the cork back in the backside. The music stops. Totally freaked out, the student calls the Medical Examiner over to the corpse.

"Look at this, this is really something," the student tells the examiner as he pulls the cork back out again.

"Hey Chicago what do you say... the Cubs are gonna..."

"So what?" the Medical Examiner replies, obviously unimpressed with the students discovery.

"But isn't that the most amazing thing you've ever seen?" asked the student.

"Are you kidding?" replied the Examiner, "I've heard hundreds of assholes sing that stupid song."

A cat snuck onto the field at Wrigley last night (cat is fine). Funny article has a Sox bit at the end.

Also a Bartman like incident in their too.

LOL, Bradley is hilarious. He got booed yesterday for lack of hustle when he didnt run out a grounder and didnt try hard for a popup, and Lou had a talk with him today.

Totally reformed

They weren't saying "Booo", they were saying "Booo-urns".

Zambozo's fastball sitting at 89-90 MPH. Talking to the ball, and just threw away a pickoff letting the runner take 2 bases. I forsee an implosion.

LOL, Z throws a ball into CF because nobody was covering. Just turned and threw it at nobody.

The media likes to paint Cubs fans as very loyal followers, rooting for their team through thick and thin. The reality is that they turn on their players quicker than any other fanbase in baseball. Racism, booing, garbage on the field. Those are the true actions of Cubs fans.

i thought masset was going to be given a shot at starting in CIN...no?

Owings and Bailey outpitched him in spring.

have to love Len Kasper and Brenley spinning Samardjza (sp?). Kasper ignoring his bad September last year in talking about his progress as a pitcher. I mean, if you want you can say he had pitched more than he ever had and he might of been tired, but to ignore it and basically say he's never really struggled in pro ball is silly. Then Brenley saying the Reds got a lucky hit to score two runs when it was hit nicely up the middle AFTER the Reds were robbed of a run by the vine rule.

Especially since the ball was about an inch into the vines and 100% visible and accessable to Soriano.

As if Wrigley Field weren't commercialized enough, Cubs fans now have to endure the sound of Luna Carpet's phone number jingle every time a Cubs player hits a double.

Luna Carpet, known for their ubiquitous 773-202-Luna local television commercial, struck a deal with the Cubs to play the insistent tune over the stadium loudspeaker immediately after every Cubs two-bagger. Fans should expect to hear the song quite a lot this season, according to Team Marketing Report executive editor Jon Greenberg, who broke the story:

Are we really any better? Booing DeWayne Wise on just the 2nd day of the season was pretty pathetic.

Yes...cause that was obvious booing towards the front office for the awful decision of leading off Wise.

No, obvious for us on this board that it was KW's fault, for the avg fan they were booing Wise. You give people way too much credit.

Impressive couple of pitching performances by Cueto and Harang. This Reds staff is legit. If their bats live up to expectations, they'll be right there all year. And what about that Cardinals offense? Those guys can HIT! It's not just the Albert Pujols show.
