It asked for the best pitcher, not the best pitcher who did the right thing. I don't know a lot about some of these, so I'm not going to vote, but i don't think you should throw him out of consideration just because he was part of the scandal. I agree both were better than McDowell and Black Jack was plenty good. I also think Wilbur Wood could be listed as an "other" when thinking about great pitching. In other words where's Tom Seaver? 311 wins 2.86 ERA and he won something like 25 games in '69 to help the Cubs to a terrible memory. Gotta love a guy like that.
