October 11, 200916 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 11, 2009 -> 04:05 PM) I'm surprised that you included teh Twins in the title. Aint ova til its ova, I guess, technically.
October 12, 200916 yr These are CLEARLY the two best teams in the American League, and anytime the CS has the two best teams, I think it's a good thing. Should be a great series, and although I don't really have a great deal of animosity for either side, I'd probably rather see the Angels win just because the panic that a Yankees loss would cause is something I could laugh at.
October 12, 200916 yr Go Angels! I'm rooting for an All-LA World Series but I'll be happy as long as the Yankees don't win it all.
October 12, 200916 yr This should be a heck of a series. You know the Angels won't be scared. Mike Scioscia is 2-0 against the Yankees in the postseason.
October 13, 200916 yr It is unbelievably stupid how spread out the playoffs are. There is no reason that this series isn't starting till Friday. Edited October 13, 200916 yr by whitesoxfan99

October 13, 200916 yr QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 13, 2009 -> 02:00 AM) Oh, there'$ a rea$on. I'm sure that is the reason but can starting the series on a Friday night after basically a week without baseball really be good for ratings?

I guarantee both teams are happy about it, they can set up their pitching rotations exactly as they wish.
October 13, 200916 yr I just bought Game 2 World Series Tickets for the Angels, so I hope they freaking win so I can use those tickets!!!
October 13, 200916 yr Amazing to think that Texeira jilted the Angels and had a great year with the Yankees... But that the Angels didn't really miss him... Because Kendry Morales stepped up and almost matched Tex's production. Morales finally delivering on the potential have talked about for so long was a huge factor in the Angels' success this year. October 13, 200916 yr QUOTE (scenario @ Oct 13, 2009 -> 01:40 PM) Amazing to think that Texeira jilted the Angels and had a great year with the Yankees... But that the Angels didn't really miss him... Because Kendry Morales stepped up and almost matched Tex's production. Morales finally delivering on the potential have talked about for so long was a huge factor in the Angels' success this year. They were also able to sign/resign Abreu, Juan Rivera and Darren Oliver. Would they still have been able to sign Fuentes? Regardless, Tex turning them down was the best thing that ever happened to them.
October 14, 200916 yr damn do i want the angels to win. i hate the yanks with a passion and would love for them to go at least a decade without winning it.
October 14, 200916 yr So, ESPN making it sound like the Yankees are the first team ever to imply the 3 man rotation in the playoffs. Would you want Chad Gaudin pitching Game 4?
October 15, 200916 yr QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 14, 2009 -> 09:52 PM) Joba's that bad, huh? Wouldn't you want captain cheeseburger to get 3 starts if it went 7?
October 15, 200916 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 15, 2009 -> 10:49 AM) Wouldn't you want captain cheeseburger to get 3 starts if it went 7? Plus the back end of that bullpen with Joba, Hughes, Mariano is just nasty.
October 15, 200916 yr Sounds like tomorrow's game has a good chance of getting rained out, so they might not be able to start CC in game 4.
