Is it a stupid idea to bat him 9th? That way he has the "order" effect of being a leadoff hitter (except in the first inning) but without getting the most ABs on the team? I really don't like his career "meh" OBP in the leadoff spot.

Yep, with CQ moving to RF. I expect Kenny to look for a DH who can play OF to split time RF/LF.

ahhh you subscribe to my "circular lineup theory". Too often the worst hitter is buried at the 9 whole, but I've argued for a long time that one of your better hitters should hit 9th.

I like that idea. Having him bat 9th would have virtually the same effect as him batting leadoff except in the first inning of course and he doesnt get the bats of a leadoff hitter. Does anybody know what pitchers Kenny gave up?
