LOL, well, that wasn't a screen shot from MY device, just an example of the keyboard.

But "girrlkitty" would be a pretty sweet name.

Well, I do know you love cats...

Report: Assad's Office Hacked, Password Was '12345'

Israeli newspaper Haaretz on Tuesday reported that Anonymous hacked the office of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and dumped hundreds of emails online, including damning prep notes for Assad's December 2011 ABC News interview with Barbara Walters, in which a press officer encouraged bringing up America's police response to the "Occupy Wall Street" protests as well as America's "policy to torture people," as counter-examples against allegations of Syrian regime-ordered killings.

Seventy eight inboxes of Assad staffers were compromised, according to the newspaper, including several that used the password "12345," one of the most-common but obviously least secure passwords possible.

Apparently, Apple doesn't own the trademark for "iPad" in China:

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2400165,00.asp

The battle for the iPad name in China hit a new and potentially catastrophic level for Apple in the last few days. According to a new report, Chinese authorities have begun removing iPads from store shelves in certain parts of mainland China.

The first report of iPad seizures were revealed by the Hebei Youth Daily, and told of inspection teams confiscating roughly 45 iPads from Shijiazhuang stores in Northern China. As news of the seizures spread, many retailers in the area began voluntarily removing the iPad from store shelves to avoid having the device confiscated.

The local district's Administration of Industry and Commerce team reportedly took action starting on Feb. 9, following a complaint from Proview, which registered the iPad name for use in mainland China back in 2001. According to recent reports, Apple could face fines up to $38 million over the issue.

Yikes to whoever was hired to do the trademark search.

Heh, installed an alternate keyboard (Swiftkey tablet) on the Nook Tablet. It's pretty much customized exactly how I want now.

Nice keyboard for tablet since I'm a thumb typist.

Apple's stock price hit $500/share yesterday.

Corporate earnings growth in the U.S. last quarter is estimated to be about 7%. If you strip out Apple, that number would only be 2.9%.

Looked into them, realized how they worked, never gave it a 2nd thought.

It's basically a casino with the odds of you getting anything for fair value stacked against you.

That's what I figured. Was curious if the deals the advertise are near as good in reality.

Someone is actually going to get the deal on every item they advertise.

The problem is it's like getting together 1000 friends to each lay $1 on a 999-1 gamble. Someone's likely to win, but it's very unlikely to be you...and then at some level, the person taking the bet is going to do something to make sure they come out on top.

None, I sold them when I bought our house. :0 And I didn't have many to begin with, only like 50. I was just out of college in 97' so I didn't have much money at the time, but it still ended up being nice.

Apple is one of my greatest selling regrets, but I needed the money so we could get +20% down on the house to start.

I should sue Apple for continuing to go up after I sold... frivolous lawsuits ftw. :D

It was like 3 hundred something. In either case, it was a big win. :D

Edit, it was in the 270 range. So if I hadn't sold it, I'd be able to get 2x as much now. But a win is still a win.

Yeah, that's still pretty awesome...$13k is $13k :)
