Do you have an Android phone and a usual spot where you put your phone in your car?

I plug my iPhone into USB to charge and then connect Aux cable.

some cars require a mobile app to play pandora or others on their car stereo, each one is very different. Hopefully ApplePlay gets more run.

Yea there is a USB option you can select (I have the touch screen so that's all I'm familiar with), for me is the last option on the first entertainment page on the right hand side.

Anyone have an amazon echo?

Anyone have an amazon echo?

Grabbed one when Amazon had them on sale last year half thinking I wouldn't use it often enough to justify the cost but I've probably used it everyday since. Really cool piece of tech.

Yeah like Kalapse said I found myself using it a lot more than I thought.

What do you guys use it for? Music? Weather updates?

So, I ordered a laptop which comes with a hard drive. I'm planning on pulling it out and replacing with an SSD. The ones I am looking at are these:

Samsung 850 EVO 500GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD

SanDisk Ultra II 480GB SATA III 2.5-Inch 7mm Height Solid State Drive (SSD)

Crucial MX200 500GB SATA 2.5 Inch Internal Solid State Drive

I'm leaning toward the Samsung. Does anyone know of any issues with these that I should look out for? This will be my first jump to solid state (in a computer).

I wanted one for Christmas but nobody cared enough to spend the money on it for me... Eventually I will get it, hopefully

I know it can be used to make your house a smart home if you are into that kind of thing

On the phone or on the car screen?

Car screen.

Plug in your iphone via usb

On the car entertainment page, click the USB option (it may auto detect and go over to it already)

Play any music via phone and it should go through your car speakers. If you run into issues try clicking onto FM or something and then back to USB (just make sure to play the music again as it'll stop it as if you unplugged headphones.

First off its the best alarm clock in the world. "Alexa, set my alarm to 640 am."...that rolls around "alexa shut the hell up and put on 670 the score". So yeah that's an everyday use for me. Then I'll ask it about the weather today. Sports are a big thing. Alexa, what time do the bulls/sox/hawks play. Alexa what's the score of the Warriors game. Again an every day thing for me. I use it way way more for sports than I would have ever imagined. You start getting random information that you would never get when it takes clicking your phone 5 times to find out for whatever reason. Not touching or holding anything at all is unexpectedly very convenient.

Use it for music a lot. It's a good speaker. My only complaint with it is that it does not support Spotify voice control and likely never will. You can play it through Bluetooth though and it has Amazon music and tons of radio and podcast options. I use it to listen to podcasts and audiobooks as well.

Does it work with sonos?

Its its own speaker.

I have multiple sonos, so I guess the answer is no.

I dont think that feature is there since it would have to integrate with the Sonos mobile app, that would be cool as hell though.

I bought it for my wife today.

I got it to work!

woo hoo, spotify now on echo.

Premium only.. grrr

ifttt.com is the coolest thing ever with echo.

I've never not had spotify premium and am shocked how useless the free version is. Being able to use it on mobile off wifi is hard not to have.
