June 25, 201015 yr 30 IP, 4 ER, 24 K, 6 BB, 18 H, 1 HR, 1.20 ERA, 0.80 WHIP for Jake Peavy over his last 4 starts.
June 25, 201015 yr Wow. Just got home and saw the highlight of Zambrano going crazy. Anything else happen except he is a friggin nut case? Derrek Lee is the one likable guy on that team. Would of loved to see him slug him.
June 25, 201015 yr I feel like I've been transported back to 2005. Man, I really hope that this is the beginning of the end of Beckham's slump. Having a productive Bacon in the 2-spot again would be huge.
June 25, 201015 yr Carlos Quentin's OPS is up to .782 (.681 prior to the PIT series), inching his way back to respectability. This is the highest it's been since April 16th when he was at .817.
June 25, 201015 yr Just got home and saw Sox won 6-0 and Zambrano blew up at Lee. Don't know anything else. Will know soon hahaha 10 ! Edited June 25, 201015 yr by CaliSoxFanViaSWside
June 25, 201015 yr ENTIRE TEAM- Carlos Zambrano- man...they just show a bit of Lou's presser. he looks about spent.
June 25, 201015 yr QUOTE (sf_soxfan @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 05:42 PM) I am Batsh*t Giddy - when was the last streak of 10?? 1976. This team is being quite remarkable.
June 25, 201015 yr QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 05:37 PM) 30 IP, 4 ER, 24 K, 6 BB, 18 H, 1 HR, 1.20 ERA, 0.80 WHIP for Jake Peavy over his last 4 starts. ERA has gone from 6.23 to 4.71 in that same time period. I think it's safe to say Jake is not Todd Ritchie.
June 25, 201015 yr QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 05:44 PM) ERA has gone from 6.23 to 4.71 in that same time period. I think it's safe to say Jake is not Todd Ritchie. His WHIP on May 30th was 1.399 (not horendous but definitely bad) it's down to 1.22 after today's outing.
June 25, 201015 yr QUOTE (Wanne @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 05:45 PM) could this be 1983 all over again?!? There's a good chance we could be in first by the end of the weekend. How f***ing improbable would that be? God I love baseball.
June 25, 201015 yr I love this team right now. Peavy's ERA now well below 5 and his FIP is at 4.13 and his xFIP is at 3.99. As a nice tidbit, the White Sox starting staff leads the AL in FIP and xFIP. Our entire starting staff is now under a ERA of 5. Pitching has been the key. Edited June 25, 201015 yr by chw42
June 25, 201015 yr QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 05:47 PM) I love this team right now. Peavy's ERA now well below 5 and his FIP is at 4.13 and his xFIP is at 3.99. Our entire starting staff is now under a ERA of 5. Pitching has been the key. I love Sabermetrics. Five years ago it would be nearly impossible to see that Jake wasn't pitching nearly as badly as the superficial numbers implied. Sabermetrics showed and proved that a correction was imminent. That's why I kept faith.
June 25, 201015 yr QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 05:49 PM) SHIPPS HOUSEHOLD *CRICKETS* Lol....I liked you better when you were nodding out on your keyboard before games
June 25, 201015 yr QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 05:49 PM) I love Sabermetrics. Five years ago it would be nearly impossible to see that Jake wasn't pitching nearly as badly as the superficial numbers implied. Sabermetrics showed and proved that a correction was imminent. That's why I kept faith. It was only a matter of time. Both Floyd and Peavy had pretty good peripherals when they had really s***ty ERAs.
June 25, 201015 yr Last 16 starts from the rotation..... Total: 113 2/3 IP, 82 H, 24 ER, 26 BB, 93 K, 1.90 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, 3.58 K/BB Sox are 14-2 over the stretch.
June 25, 201015 yr QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 05:49 PM) SHIPPS HOUSEHOLD *CRICKETS* Get the hell out of here!
