I saw a little bit of Raw last night and it does appear that there's more to the Christian/Orton storyline.

They played up the "17 years to get here" and then the disappointment of losing the title so quickly.

I wonder if this is WWE calling an audible after seeing the backlash against Christian dropping the belt so soon?

I think they are going to turn him heel now, but I don't suspect that was the plan from the beginning because they are weak on the face side now on Smackdown.

Christian works best as a face IMO. Orton is a better heel. And yes, I'm still mad they turned him into a face. Sadly, I don't think Christian is getting the title back anytime soon. In fact, I think he'll get just one title shot, then they'll do away with him.

Extremely sad yet not surprising unfortunately. With out a doubt one of the all time greats. RIP Macho Man.

He's the one all-time great I was always hoping would come back to the WWE in some capacity.

UPDATE: The Florida Highway Patrol has spoken with TMZ, and here are more details. Savage was driving his 2009 Jeep Wrangler when he veered across a concrete median. He then went through oncoming traffic and collided head on with a tree. Savage was transported to Largo Medical center, where he died from his injuries. Savage's wife Lynn was in the car with him, and survived the crash with minor injures. She had been transported to a different hospital for treatment. Officials have stated that Randy and Lynn were both wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident and that alcohol was not a factor.

 

ORIGINAL: According to TMZ, Randy "Macho Man" Savage died in a car accident earlier today in Tampa, FL. Lanny Poffo spoke with TMZ and stated that his brother suffered a heart attack while he was behind the wheel around 10AM today, and from there lost control of his vehicle. Savage, 58, just celebrated his one-year wedding anniversary to wife Lynn earlier this month.

 

Damn shame. If WWE hasnt already put him in there, he needs to be in the HOF immediately

I'm sure it won't happen for a couple of reasons:

 

1.) I don't think they dedicate entire shows anymore due to Benoit

2.) I'm pretty sure Vince hated him

3.) He wasn't working for WWE at the time

 

But if any guy deserves it, he does. And I'd tune in from start to finish.

He needs to have a show dedicated to him.

f***, I'm seriously sad about this. I loved him as a kid and had grown to respect him as an entertainer even more so as an adult.
