Well they have been rewarded for not letting anyone deliberate on it, so that's a part of it.

Having seen how the VA is run and how Medicare is run....even if it can be done without a dollar increase in my taxes, I still say no thanks.

It's just amazing that this country has to keep having these conversations as if a single payer health insurance plan is some wild new hypothetical program that's never been tried. It has, in differen

Wow, this is all boiling up toward revolution. If this bill passes won't there be riots immediately? The gap between 1 percenters and those about to go broke and be homeless when they have one serious hospital stay grows every day.

I mean, everyone is making every effort to make sure the ACA has no shot, and insurers are citing the lack of support from the government as well, so no matter what, everything is a mess

Tell us there's movement to not approve the bill. Healthcare needs to go more toward the socialistic Bernie side of things; less toward Sir Donald's side of things. Healthcare should not turn normal Americans from middle class to homeless following one unfortunate illness!

Getting ready to leave for Cincinnati, in the GREAT STATE of OHIO, to meet with ObamaCare victims and talk Healthcare & also Infrastructure!

The Dems aren't EVER going to work with the admin until there is basically zero choice to save the ACA. Right now, they're not even close to that point, and might never be again after this week. Not only that, but how insulting for the Senate to have 13 in their work committee (I think there must be one woman, maybe Collins) on the AHCA and not even make an attempt to reach across the aisle to Democrats?

People from both sides of the aisle should understand how sketchy this is

Unfortunately, that requirement eliminates one side.

Part of the reason that some of the exchanges are struggling is because insurers are saying that the GOP is giving them no stability.

They're walking back those comments about the Senate likely passing this thing around the second week of July.

"Medicare for All" becomes the defining opportunity for Dems in 2018/20.

If the GOP repeals the ACA (which all signs point to them still doing) and Dems don't run on single payer in '18 and beyond they deserve to lose.

Very true. If this new plan goes through, the next Democratic nominee may win every state except Kansas which would vote for a Republican if his name was (fill in the blank with name of any despicable human being alive or dead). It's true. Brownback won re-election cause of that R.

Single payer will rule in next election cycle.

Senate GOP has a bill that they're sending to the cbo, but they refuse to release it publicly.

There will be zero hearings on this bill that impacts 1/6 of the economy and will strip health insurance from millions

I'm sure we'll see the numbers rise as conservative media starts defending it forcefully, but as of right now, they're working awfully hard to pass a bill that a huge majority hates

The GOP is intentionally sabotaging Obamacare and the President is bragging about the harm it's causing.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

2 million more people just dropped out of ObamaCare. It is in a death spiral. Obstructionist Democrats gave up, have no answer = resist!

The system is broken. We had better healthcare. Now we're going back to square one.

Hopefully this leads us to a universal standard. You shouldn't f*** with people's healthcare.

This is going to pass and nobody has any idea what's in it. Called dem senators to grow a spine and start withholding unanimous consent until at the very least a markup session is allowed.

Did the same this morning. Was really dismayed when I heard Sen. Murray pushing back against the idea of pulling out all the stops to oppose this thing. Every hour they hold up business in the Senate is an hour they don't have to pass this atrocity. That they did this to "work with" Republicans to tack on some dumb Russia sanctions bill to an already bad Iran sanctions bill is just so frustrating.

Going to impact 1/6th of the economy, throw tens of millions off of insurance and do it without a single hearing or mark-up session. All to give millionaires and billionaires a trillion dollar tax cut and set up even bigger tax cuts down the road.
