I just picked up the double-pack of Uncharted and Uncharted 2 ($40), as I finally have to play those at some point. This review basically claims that Uncharted 3 is the best game ever made.

They hooked me good with that multiplayer beta from Subway. I think I have to get all three now.

Holy crap, that is the first 10 IGN's given out to a non-Mario game since GTA 4.

Uncharted 3 got a 10/10? Holy s***. I never got in to that series, but maybe I will have to rent this one....

Also, I'm pumped about the new AC. Will probably have to ask for it for Xmas though.

They were pretty much saying that about Uncharted 2 and it lived up to all the hype it received as well. I can't wait for early November. Uncharted 3, AC: Brotherhood and Elder Scrolls VI all come out within days of each other

Brotherhood already came out, I think you mean Revelations. Which reminds me, I still have to finish Brotherhood.

there will probably be some things in the 3rd game that would require you to play the first 2 to get. Think I'll replay both before I get this one....doesn't take but 8-10 hours each.

Rockstar announces Grand Theft Auto V, trailer out on November 2nd.

Very, very good time to be a gamer right now.

Yeah that's what I meant...and yeah I gotta finish Brotherhood still as well. I've just spent too much time having fun exploring Rome and doing side quests as opposed to finishing the actual main storyline

The wife finally caved on my ever not playing video games. We're in a generation where games absolutely are not for kids... they are interactive media and storytelling, and it's fantastic.

I'll be playing games until I'm 80.

There are too many games coming out. I want to get Battlefield 3 today, but I still want to get Rage.

Rage got really disappointing reviews. I rented it and it wasn't very impressive. If you're into online shooters and 12 year olds calling you a "f**got newb", then go Battlefield, because that's the cream of the crop from what I've read.

Or play it on PC to avoid all the kids.

Maybe i'll just wait to get Rage when it's cheaper.

I've never really had too many problems with people playing first person shooters. Usually it's just one stupid person and I just mute them.

The multiplayer for Battlefield looks pretty awesome.

The emphasis on story in games recently has drastically changed and I love it. Hopefully this means shooters are finally taking a back seat because many of them have weak stories and focus on multiplayer. Batman, Uncharted and AC being top tier titles is a great thing IMO.

I'd probably play more shooters if they put more focus into single player. Crysis 2 was fantastic, but I beat it 3 times and sold it because the online play bored me. It's so hard to break into shooters online because they're all similar enough that someone new to online shooters has to go up against someone with years of heavy online hours experience.

I cannot wait for the new gta. I grew up on those games!!!!

Battlefield 3's problem is probably going to be the point you've brought, the single player campaign is meant to be fairly weak compared to the multiplayer.

Will be interesting to see how much better if at all Modern Warfare's 3 Simple Player Campaign will be I guess.

I wonder if it will get to the point where games like Battlefield and Call of Duty will even have a campaign.

I mean how many times can Russians take over the world?

You play the campaign once for about 3-5 hours and than play mulitplayer for months. Why even have a campaign.

For Modern Warfare, the campaign is always a very good story. However, that makes it a renter unless you want to stay up until 3am every night playing online multiplayer.

Black Ops campaign was pretty awesome. Escaping from the Russian prison was cool as hell.

I thought the Black Ops campaign was really fun.
