May 30, 201114 yr QUOTE (T R U @ May 30, 2011 -> 01:55 PM) finally, were making moves Guesssing more moves to come.
May 30, 201114 yr These are the changes we need! Now we have....8 starting pitches on the roster? EDIT: Nevermind, Harrell went down. Still 7 starters. Edited May 30, 201114 yr by JoeCoolMan24
May 30, 201114 yr QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 30, 2011 -> 02:13 PM) mcpherson is DFA Who could have seen that coming? Sometimes these moves just baffle me. Im pretty sure in the KW vs soxtalk battle, soxtalk would have won this move.

May 30, 201114 yr Lol at Ozzie. The guy who was getting more playing time than both Lillibridge and Morel got DFA'd. Thank you KW! I assume Marquez will be up here no longer than a week until Teahen is back.

May 30, 201114 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 30, 2011 -> 04:48 PM) Marquez is going to be the long man out of the pen I am guessing. Oh yeah, I was certainly not suggesting a 7-man rotation with Marquez in it. lol. I just thought it was weird considering there has been talk about us trimming the rotation down to 5, thus we would already have a starter in the bullpen. Now we will have 2.

It must mean they don't plan on cutting to 5 anytime soon.
May 30, 201114 yr Bruney to help Crain and at this point Marquez to assume long relief from Pena. But, when Teahna is ready it's probably Marquez down unless Bruney can't do his job. Now some here may think more moves are coming, but unless it is Tehan traded I doubt it. The folks needing to be jump started at this point are Dunn and Rios and they aren't going anywhere. Pierre is a question mark, but has been hitting better. Maybe we trade a starter? Dougtful at this point in time though
May 30, 201114 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 30, 2011 -> 04:08 PM) Somehow this will still cost Brent morel playing time "Now pinch hitting, Mark Buehrle"
May 30, 201114 yr This team should fear the wrath of KW. It's in the air. The man is upset. Accountability is coming. 6/2/2011. Fires will burn. I envision this line being used often: "Yea so I signed you to be good, but you aren't, so now I'm trading that ass."
May 30, 201114 yr QUOTE (oldsox @ May 30, 2011 -> 06:05 PM) Has anyone heard if there is movement from B'ham to Charlotte? Check the last post in the minor league catch-all thread.
May 30, 201114 yr QUOTE (Jerksticks @ May 30, 2011 -> 05:52 PM) This team should fear the wrath of KW. It's in the air. The man is upset. Accountability is coming. 6/2/2011. Fires will burn. I envision this line being used often: "Yea so I signed you to be good, but you aren't, so now I'm trading that ass." Unfortunately there appears to be no accountability of his own. He is the key reason this team is in shambles, not Ozzie. While Ozzie is certainly a major problem, Kenny is the biggest culprit in this entire organization.
May 30, 201114 yr Amen on Kenny. reckless spending on Dunn and Rios. trading away Hudson and Gio. Getting nothing for Swisher or Javier Vazquez. farm system in alarming decline. time for a fresh voice in the management chair. Do it, Chairman. Do it.
May 30, 201114 yr QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ May 30, 2011 -> 06:38 PM) Amen on Kenny. reckless spending on Dunn and Rios. trading away Hudson and Gio. Getting nothing for Swisher or Javier Vazquez. farm system in alarming decline. time for a fresh voice in the management chair. Do it, Chairman. Do it. While I agree, I also disagree to an extent. If Kenny goes, Ozzie has to as well. At this moment, Williams does not have any power over Ozzie, and Kenny is a guy with a big ego and strong personality. What happens if we replace KW with Hahn? I don't know much about Hahn's personality, but I have to imagine that he has nowhere near the personality of Williams. Ozzie would run this organization from top to bottom if Williams is sent packing and he is retained. Hell, the very act of outlasting Williams would probably build up his massive ego more.
