9-1-1 since the Oduya trade, all without #19.

The team just needed a d-man who can start a rush. Thankfully, this dude is a lot cheaper than Campbell. Of course, the Hawks won't re-sign him, I'm sure.

That works out to 1 out of 202 saying yes.

Sports Illustrated ‏ @SInow

SI polled 202 NHL players and asked them - Should the NHL ban fighting: 99.5% responded No.

I'd guess it was one of the Sedins

This probably doesn't bode well for Duncan

Bob McKenzie ‏ @TSNBobMcKenzie

I am told VAN's Daniel Sedin will not play in DAL tonight. His medical condition is still being assessed/monitored by the Canucks.

Not only is VAN not playing Daniel Sedin tonight in DAL, they are flying him home to Vancouver today to see specialists/get treatment.

Not that it will matter, but on last night's postgame, they showed Canadian footage of what prompted Keith's hit that the Chicago broadcast originally missed; Sedin made a run at Keith against the glass first that was every bit as dirty as Duncan's retaliation. Problem is, Keith bounced right back, but Sedin didn't.

We will see what the diagnosis is, but I wonder if the Canucks will try and milk the injury for a few days to make Keith's suspension worse. I wouldn't put that past Vignaeult & Co. They already have the 2-seed locked up, so Daniel could miss a few games.

#canucks Daniel Sedin have a concussion and should be out for a minimum of two weeks.

You don't usually see timeframes used when discussing concussions, so that is a little strange. I would say exaggerating an injury such as a concussion in order to increase a suspension is a litte out there, but I would put nothing past Vancouver.

Keith is a first time offender so they won't drop the hammer on him. It is reportedly a teleconference for the disciplinary action so I would expect 5 games or less. Taking into account the first time offender piece I would guess Keith is sitting for 3 games.

Hearing tonite #NHL has in fact decided to ask #Blackhawks D. Keith to waive his right to in person hearing for elbow on #Canucks D. Sedin

Meaning Keith could receive 5 or more games. Also told his #NHL hearing could be pushed back much later then the one scheduled for Fri 2pm.

Its unknown at this point in time whether #Blackhawks Keith who's is susp' indefinitely by #NHL has waived right to in person hearing or not

@ChrisKuc

RT @renhockey: nhlpa needs to approve change by nhl in Duncan Keith hearing. Nhl asked for face to face hearing instead of a phone hearing.

Hmmm...wonder if the NHLPA will allow this 0-5 gm to 6+ gm change? My guess...he's out until the playoffs.

Jay Zawaski - The way it's sounding, Keith might be suspended for the remainder of the regular season.... I'm not saying it's right. I'm saying that's what might happen... A star player was injured. I don't know if they cater to them, but they certainly ignore their history of d-baggery... I feel like the NHL wants to make an example of him. Ridiculous. I said, right after the hit, "2 games." I stand by that.

This is getting out of hand. They can't suspend him that long.

The players union isn't gonna be happy about them changing their decision so suddenly, hope they make a stink about it.

They sure can. I hate the Canucks like everyone else, but that was a clear headshot, puck never even touched, and in theory, retaliation. Elbows don't get that high on accident. It was pretty bad.

Now obviously Sedin's hit earlier wasn't exactly clean and he got him high. But the retaliation aspect from that might lead Shanny to lean towards "premeditated" which ups everything. As does an injury.

We're just going to have to live with the punishment, just hope it doesn't get into the playoffs.

I know they can, I just meant that in a "holy s***" type of response.

Rest of the regular season would be overkill to me.

Gotcha.

It just sucks that there are so many factors going against Keith in this one. Add all them up and it just doesn't bode well here.
