Gamethread: White Sox vs Angels

Hawk is clueless. That throw was too far to the right of the plate for Flowers to catch it and still tag Kendrick at home.

Rios comes in too fast and catches the ball flat-footed.

terrible fundamentals.

Caught it too high and on the wrong side also. Should be caught on the throwing hand side.

Another thing we never do is throw people out at home, even with how shallow that was hit. And it seems like we get thrown out a disproportionately high number of times.

Of course Hawk puts the blame entirely on the rookie, completely leaving Rios' bad throw out.

Rios and Flowers both f***ed up ............D is a sleep tonight

Rios throws like a girl.

Looked like Kendrick left a split second early. It's probably worth checking.

He left early and he slid over home plate.

That was a great throw by Rios. Hawk is right throw, Tyler should have let the ball come to him, but I think he was protecting himself from being railroaded by giving Kendrick the back of the plate.

The throw was a little to the first base side .... that's all it took. The same distance to the third base side and he was a goner.

Rips set up wrong, but the throw was strong. Sox just giving the game away

This. I think if TF was back any further, he wouldn't have caught the ball before Kendrick reached the plate. The only thing that would have happened would have been a collision at the plate and a subsequent run scored.

If Rios had some momentum going into that throw, Kendrick is out by 5 feet.

Bingo. Hawk, just like Ozzie, much prefers veterans and will tear a rookie apart if he can to defend an older guy. They are also both morons.

Love when Morel pokes the ball to RF.

Hawk already doing the DV numbers.

I wasn't sure if he touched home either but I think if you're over the bag the umps generally will give you the touch unless its blatantly obvious you're way above it.

As awful as this season has been, it's completely depressing to think the Sox are stuck with Rios and Dunn for three more seasons.

Dunn is finished.

He's inept. There isn't one thing he does at the major league level -- hit for average (no), hit for power (no), run (no), field (no) and catch (no).

The Chairman needs to make somebody answer for wasting $56 million.

It's ridiculous.

Terrible luck for Beckham

Bad break for GB and the Sox.

I'm the opposite

Pierre!

No doubt he caught and threw flat-footed, but that throw was a bullet, made it in the air at a perfect height, and only off the mark by a foot or so, not bad for a throw from like 200 feet away.

Sox hanging in there. Nice job Juan.

Pierre is probably our best option when a man is in scoring position, minus Konerko.

Can't wait for Ozzie to say it's not fair to sit Pierre down the stretch when we're out of contention and not make Viciedo a full-time starter

Time for a De Aza blast.

12 RBI in his last 12 games

You are confusing "having a bad season" with "has no skills". Dunn has more power than almost anyone in this league, and to think otherwise is ridiculous, really.
