Damnit (in regards to NIU player, don't really care about Hurd)

Exactly. This coupled with Wolfe's offseason arrest is annoying.

@skjensen:Sam Hurd told undercover agent he wanted to purchase 5-10 kilograms of cocaine & 1,000 pounds of marijuana a week to distribute in Chicago.

Wow. He wasn't messing around.

Well someone was thinking about their after football career.

Wow, that's a decent amount of coke.

And just a little bit of weed!

"So... um you got pallets for that weed?"

"Sam Hurd was one of the top few drug dealers in the city of Chicago" - on The Score just now.

Law enforcement source tells @670TheScore Hurd was a top drug dealer in Chicago and police have list of NFL players who Hurd supplied.

This could get interesting.

Whoa. It really makes you scared why he came to Chicago.

670 The Score also learned:they have a list of NFL players who got their drugs from Sam Hurd, and it's in the double digits.

Is he the type of drug dealer that wrote down the names of his clients?

"HURD stated he was interested in purchasing five to ten kilograms of cocaine and 1,000 pounds of marijuana per week for distribution in the Chicago area. HURD negotiated to receive the aforementioned amounts of narcotics at $25,000 per kilogram of cocaine and $450 per pound of marijuana. HURD further stated that he and another co-conspirator currently distribute about four kilograms of cocaine per week in the Chicago area, but that the supplier could not supply him with enough quantity"

Ten kilos of Coke @ $25,000 per x 52 = $13,000,000 in annual transactions.

1,000 lbs of marijuana @ $450 per x 52 = $23,400,000 in annual transcations.

This was set to become Hurd's SECONDARY drug source.

Holy crap.

I wouldnt be surprised if this bled into other sports. There are many sports figures in this city that buy coke and weed.

The internet would break.

Is this story going to have a bigger impact than the Jerry Sundusky story.....the impact to the world of sports could be mind blowing. That amount of narcotics is sickening and almost sounds comical.

There's no obvious reason to assume that the list will ever get released.

Maybe not released, but it will be "released" for sure.

I'm still amazed at how few of the MLB 2003 list we've actually seen.
