Nice catch but a bit nonchalant about getting it back in.

CG SHUTOUT!! JAKE f***ING PEAVY!

Everything is Jake !

PEAVY! Just a dominating performance by the Sox.

Good win .....................i would of pulled him after 8.

This is crazy: Peavy now has as many shutouts with the White Sox has he did with the Padres.

Jake "just call me cy young" peavy

Yells for RV to pull JFP there were comical...c'mon, this Oakland team has been dead the whole game, he deserved the shot at the CG SHO, no one scares me in this lineup.

Peavy looked like he was running out of gas a bit in that last inning, but he got the job done.

Helluva game for JFP.

When you hear Hawk talk like that about Rios, you have to read between the lines -- because he's so undyingly positive....but he must've thought Alex's 2011 was an unmotivated pile of dung

Not comical to me this guy has had MAJOR arm issues.

Ahhh, this lessens the pain of the Hawks loss. Peavy with a gem and looking stronger every outing. AJ calling another great game.

The lat isn't part of the arm, fwiw.

7-2 on the road.

I know what you are saying, but there's no manager in baseball that pulls Peavy there.

He's a horse who is like Verlander and wants to complete what he starts.

If he gets hurt, he gets hurt.

If he had thrown 107 pitches entering the ninth, maybe Jake would have agreed to sit, but he was at 97, right?
