#WhiteSox agreed to terms w/ Dewayne Wise on a minor-league deal. Also completed Brett Myers deal with #Astros: sent Chris Devenski as PRBNL

Wow, Myers trade even better now.

And Wise is a perfectly good player to have down at Charlotte. We'll see him again in September.

Actually, I wouldn't even be opposed to bringing Wise up and sending Danks back to Charlotte for a month so he can get a good solid months of at bats in before rosters expand

This

Dewayne can pitch for us too!

Greg will be overjoyed.

I like it, as it's someone that can actually run the bases well off the bench. Also, I doubt Ventura will lead him off in games :)

Nice.

And "the catch" is back.

Well, if De Aza is getting the day off Wise would be or best option.

Sounds good to me. See you in September, Saver!

As Wise lives in Charlotte, it may just be he signed with us to be at home, regardless of any hope of a callup

Greg is happy

Does Devenski have much potential or is he just minor league filler?

A Wise decision to bring him back.

Please tip your servers.

He was our 21st pick in the 2011 draft, so probably not. Houston's GM tried to say the PTBNL was a big part of the trade, but it really doesn't appear that way.

I like Wise but what is wrong with Danks? He can sure go get the ball

Dewayne Wise, the guy who made my favorite White Sox moment of all time.

I haven't followed him much since he left. How was his time with the Jays and Yanks?

Wise is insurance for Danks or De Aza.. Good smart pick up...

He's back. Now we have to bring back the other half of "the catch."

I hope you mean second favorite...

Yep. It was that comment that had me worried, but now I can breath a sigh of relief. For all I know the guy can turn into a Liriano, but right now, he was nothing more then a guy with a limited chance at every making the show. The Myers deal really looks good (on the diamond). There are still the personal issues that I have a problem with.

The word "MEH" should sum up his time with the Jays/Yanks.

You mean his time with the Jays, Marlins, Jays and Yanks? He's been really good on the base paths, that's about it.

One less pitcher out there that can shut down this offense. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em or something like that.

Hawk wouldn't be able to contain his excitement if Gabe Kapler was on the Sox.

I don't know, he probably needs Cialis at his age, anyway.
