So is he considered over the hill by this time? He's a rookie and a very good one.

Viciedo is still young as well, unless 24 is also too old.

We have a whole thread about Josh Phegley, who is 25.

Yet people on this board are making fun of them - at least they're in a rebuild. The White Sox have no youth other than Chris Sale worth getting excited about at all.

That's an exaggeration. We have 3 young left handed starters that most teams would kill for.

Great, we woke up the Cubs

They are just ruining their draft pick for 2014, Theo can't be happy.

It took Arizona 2 pitches to get more runs off of Samardzija tonight after shutting out the Sox.

Shouldn't you be telling us how he's just as talented as Sale?

I never said that, and I don't think he is. I would take him over Peavy. That said, give me the Cubs offense over this Sox offense. Their offense is putting up huge numbers right now.

Cubs with 53 more XB hits than the White Sox, Top 4-5 in MLB in that category.

White Sox 28th, ahead of only the Dodgers and Marlins (last in AL).

I hate that f***ing ivy.

Ivy can't contain that bomb by Goldschmidt!

You know it's a bad year when Chris Carter is having more of an offensive impact than Konerko or Dunn.

So my best friend was on TV a LOT today, and just made Deadspin.....for all the wrong reasons.

To be clear, my friend is the one GETTING domed off. All 3 of us used to play on a softball team together, but the guy giving the fake BJ is a real "blow hard".

I'm mildly surprised the White Sox never took a shot at him. He was really good last year, and very good against the Sox in his career.

Burnett clears waivers. Gone to Iowa.

Nice to see Pujols still destroys the Cubs

Cardinals had Molina on 2nd to leadoff bottom of the 14th and stranded him there. Freese would have been 5/7 had he gotten a hit there.

Cubs failed to knock in Barney from 2nd to tie against Frieri.

Javier Baez going nuts of late, 3 homers already today. IMO, he's going to be used to acquire a #1 or 2 starting pitcher.

Make that 4 homers for Baez tonight

If I'm the Cubs, maybe I'm trading Castro instead.

Starlin Castro OPS: .617

Conor Gillaspie OPS: .687

LOL!! Marmol is White Sox-Bad.

I went to the game at Kane County today. Almora didn't do much but Pierce Johnson threw 7 scoreless ip. Looks like a solid #3 starter in the big leagues.

Carlos Marmol DFA.

Copp'll fi.......ah not even worth it

s***, I wouldn't mind. Relievers find it and lose it all the time. Brad Lidge's ERAs progressively went from 5.28 to 3.36 to 1.95 to 7.21 to 2.96 to 1.40 to 9.64. Marmol has trouble throwing strikes, but the stuff is still there.
