Is it possible they leak bad information to the media to maybe make the real suspect "relax" so he's easier to catch?

Is it possible bad information is leaked on purpose to find leakers?

It's possible, but Occam's Razor just points to incompetent media trying to "break" the news

Anything is possible, but again, it's 48 hours since the things exploded. There hasn't been time for a whole lot of creative efforts involving the media. The manpower right now has to be going into processing the enormous amount of data and investigating the crime scene.

If someone decided to leak something for one of those reasons, they must really have a grudge against CNN. More likely is that they actually are close to identifying a suspect, CNN misunderstood or decided to jump the gun.

@SeinfeldToday: George tries to pick up a woman by claiming to be a cop that arrested a suspect in Boston case. CNN producer overhears it, runs it as fact.

Wtf CNN saying they are evacuating Brigham and women's right now

Ugh, this world.

Media being cleared at courthouse. Either they arrested someone or that is being evacuated as well.

Wtf CNN saying

who cares

Media being cleared at courthouse. Either they arrested someone or that is being evacuated as well.

I have Boston's ABC station up and they are saying the clearing of the courthouse is due to a bomb threat.

"Authorities investigating the Boston Marathon bombings say there has been no arrest. They earlier said that there was "substantial progress" in the case, and CNN reported that an arrest had been made."

More of that fear mongering bulls***.

Watching Boston news right now. This is crazy.

How many times does a bomb threat end in a bomb actually being there? If you want to bomb someone, you dont call it in first.

UPDATE: ‘The Onion’ Apologizes For Killing Innocent Boston Man Tom Mahoney

BOSTON—Saying that we spoke too soon and probably should have looked at all the facts and information first before pulling the trigger, The Onion has issued an apology to the family of Boston resident Tom Mahoney, who was shot and killed by the news organization at 2:10 p.m. today. “We have learned that, contrary to our prior reports, Mr. Mahoney was in fact just a school teacher and not the Boston Marathon bomber,” read an official statement from The Onion. “Next time, instead of creating a media firestorm, misleading the public with uncorroborated information, and murdering an innocent man, we will make sure to confirm the identity of the bomber with the proper officials before taking a shot.” The Onion once again apologizes.

The boston news is speculating like crazy.

I like how they tried to justify it. People have the right to know if the bomber is still on the loose!
