April 26, 201411 yr This was so satisfying because of the walks but the pen held tight until lindstrom
April 26, 201411 yr QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Apr 25, 2014 -> 11:26 PM) So refreshing to have a young player on this team that is just must watch television. That's all the 2014 season is about at the moment, and I'm totally fine with it. Would give my kingdom for him to be 21. but i will take it
April 26, 201411 yr WOOOOOOOOOOOO! I was following the final AB on Gameday and as soon as I saw In Play (Runs) I knew it was a grand slam.
April 26, 201411 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 25, 2014 -> 11:38 PM) Anybody else say "Don't pull a Kendrys Morales!" when he jumped on home plate? Yes.
April 26, 201411 yr @ckamka: I missed this one the other day (Tuesday), but... Jose Abreu homered in his 79th career at-bat #WhiteSox #79
April 26, 201411 yr QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Apr 25, 2014 -> 11:15 PM) BULLS WIN HAWKS WIN MOTHERf***IN SOX WIN WALKOFF GRAND SALAMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII ROOKIE RECORD 9 HOME RUNS APRIL I love my DVR tonight!...what a f***in' night!!!
April 26, 201411 yr QUOTE (farmteam @ Apr 25, 2014 -> 11:20 PM) Hell yes! Abreu, oh man. Way for Eaton to keep the inning going. Eaton was bustin' ass down the line to keep the inning, and the game, alive. Great AB by Semien to bring Abreau to the dish. My only gripe? The Sox so-called "closer" comes in, gives up the dreaded lead-off walk and then a tater to straight CF, and gets the win. Still, a win is a win. SMO
April 26, 201411 yr QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Apr 25, 2014 -> 11:15 PM) BULLS WIN HAWKS WIN MOTHERf***IN SOX WIN WALKOFF GRAND SALAMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII ROOKIE RECORD 9 HOME RUNS APRIL And the Cubs lose - perfect night!!! SMO
April 26, 201411 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 05:09 AM) ESPN stating first Sox walk off slam when trailing since Ventura in 1991 I remember Rios and Carlos Lee vs the Cubs. Must have been tied. I feel like Alexei hit one in 08 too.
April 26, 201411 yr QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 12:15 AM) I remember Rios and Carlos Lee vs the Cubs. Must have been tied. I feel like Alexei hit one in 08 too. Alexei's slam was in the 6th inning.
April 26, 201411 yr QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 05:20 AM) Alexei's slam was in the 6th inning. He broke the rookie record with 4 slams that year. Thought one might be a record
April 26, 201411 yr QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 25, 2014 -> 11:23 PM) Can you imagine once it warms up and Abreu figures out the pitchers? Dear lord. I don't want to be the rain on the parade, but the pitchers will "figure out" Abreu first. To be the sunshine, I don't think you can figure him out. This motherf***er has 9 jacks, and 3 multi-homer games. Dude's just dialed. Anyone unhappy about that one?
April 26, 201411 yr Great win. Abreu and everybody else who has been mentioned. Don't forget Flowers for his clutch 2 run single. I still say this team could contend if it had a bullpen and a healthy Sale. It just could in this division. At any rate, it was nice to see the team hit the f*** out of the ball in April. Amazing offense this month thanks to Abreu and some others.
April 26, 201411 yr I think Abreu is going to cost me a couple hundred bucks, because I may have to buy MLBEI just to watch him hit.
April 26, 201411 yr Looking at the replay, I don't think Eaton knew it was a homer. Looks like he started running after Abreu once he (Eaton) crossed home.
April 26, 201411 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 07:27 AM) Looking at the replay, I don't think Eaton knew it was a homer. Looks like he started running after Abreu once he (Eaton) crossed home. Adam Eaton is a f***in' insane weirdo. Sprinting to first after a walk, using "This Is How We Do It" as his walkup... I love it.
