Nothing is EVER Ventura's fault with some guys on this board. Time to end amateur hour at The Cell. WTF!

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 9, 2014 -> 09:08 PM)
why is Guerra pitching over Putnam?

Because Robin

Well that didn't take long. Sale, Abreu, Q and Gillaspie are so far and away better than the rest of this garbage roster.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 9, 2014 -> 09:08 PM)
Yes, Dick. Is it customary to yank dominant starters in the middle of innings when they've got it on autopilot? Or is it more customary to bring in a reliever to begin an inning?

And when Sale gives up a diner after being on auto pilot you say the same s***. Give it up.

The fact that we're quibbling about the potential for the pitcher to get one additional out tells you that the blame for this game lies with the pitchers who came in afterwards

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 9, 2014 -> 07:07 PM)
Lol. Who should be in? What pitcher?

I'd have preferred to start the 9th up 4-0.

You guys with the Robin Ventura posters on your ceilings can defend him all you want, but you'd also defend anything he did. He compounds this bulls*** with these non-sensical moves.

But keep pretending like the s*** he does makes sense.

Only a White a Sox bullpen can turn a 4-0 Chris Sale lead, into a 5-4 loss to a lifeless Boston team.

Because Robin

Lol. The guy everyone was clamping for was put in and immediately gave up most of the lead. But yeah. It's the manager.

If you can criticise Robin for one thing, and he's shown it time and again this year, he manages his bullpen based on ERA.

Again, Chris gave up 4 hits all game. Against the Angels, he'd given up more than that to the last 6 batters prior to facing Trout.

I wanted Sale :)

Big difference between how he looked in the 8th tonight and the 8th vs the Angels.

Every time Sale pitches in the 9th someone starts a whole thread about how Ventura should be fired for running his pitch counts up.

Even if he waited until the 9th to insert Pericka, why don't you look at how they performed. They still would have lost, and people would have b****ed about Sale throwing 120 pitches.

I don't think a single person in this thread has said they wanted Sale to start the 9th tonight.

Who the f*** was hoping we'd pull Sale there?

He asked why Guerra was pitching over Putnam...

Even Farmer was pissed

I wanted Sale to face one more batter. Was shaking my head when he was taken out, but Petricka should have did his job.

Hahahaha. It's called common sense. But you guys keep changing the target game after game on what he does wrong. Left sale in too long. Put Putnam in instead of Jake and we lose, today asking why not Putnam. It's hilariously laughable. Want to know what lost the game? A terrible s***ty bullpen.

When have we ever worried more about pitch counts than effectiveness? How many times do I have to explain this to you? This is like the 3-4th time, honestly.

Thank you. This is all I'm saying.

Explain the common sense to the move tonight. I'd love to hear it.

No excuse to lose games like this over and over.
