July 22, 201411 yr Jon Heyman @JonHeymanCBS 38s yanks check in on danks. talks in early stages. http://cbsprt.co/1qymwjx
July 22, 201411 yr I am not surprised that the Yanks want Danks just knowing their situation. But, Danks is a very good pitcher who seems to be recovered from his injury and can help the Sox as we retool. A trade with the Yanks must make sense and bring us talent we want.
July 22, 201411 yr Any trade Hahn makes between now and next Thursday will be a pleasant surprise. I just think it's going to be very quiet altogether in baseball.
July 22, 201411 yr I really think Danks will be gone if they can get any sort of reasonable offer. Considering what starting pitchers are getting on the open market, his contract is not horrible. Even though Danks has become a useful starter again, I think the Sox will move just because of his left-handedness. They probably don't want to go with four lefties and with Sale, Quintana and Rodon (at some point over the next year+) Danks is the odd man out.
July 22, 201411 yr QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 22, 2014 -> 11:03 AM) John Danks for LHP Ian Clarkin and RHP Luis Severino Severino is going to be extremely tough to ply away from them right now as he seems like the only legit prospect they have, unless you buy Gary Sanchez's defense.
July 22, 201411 yr Danks for Eric Jagielo and Aaron Judge. Just sweep their entire 2013 1st RD class. But seriously, I would love to have Aaron Judge. A gigantic OF who has been drawing a ton of walks so far.

July 22, 201411 yr Chris Cotillo @ChrisCotillo 10m Source: #WhiteSox lefty John Danks drawing "lots of interest" on trade market. http://sbnation.com/e/5690718 Chris Cotillo @ChrisCotillo 8m The two #WhiteSox drawing the most interest: John Danks and Dayan Viciedo, according to sources.

A gigantic OF who has been drawing a ton of walks so far. I like this idea. I looked him up and you're right, he is a monster. Looks to be on the same pace as Tim Anderson. If his power developed he would love hitting on the south side. Good call dude, I hadn't heard of him til you brought him up. Edited July 22, 201411 yr by StRoostifer
July 22, 201411 yr I do like the idea of trading Danks without having much to fill his shoes but if Hahn feels he can get a return that helps this teams system, then I'm not going to complain. To this point I feel Hahn has earned that trust.

But, Danks is a very good pitcher who seems to be recovered from his injury and can help the Sox as we retool. A trade with the Yanks must make sense and bring us talent we want. He's a number 5 starter at best making a #2 salary, and his "recovered" shoulder can barely break 88. Dump, dump, dump, dump.

July 22, 201411 yr QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Jul 22, 2014 -> 12:09 PM) He's a number 5 starter at best making a #2 salary, and his "recovered" shoulder can barely break 88. Dump, dump, dump, dump. He's not a #5 starter. He's a former #2 starter who is probably more like a #3.
July 22, 201411 yr QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Jul 22, 2014 -> 12:07 PM) Get serious. Jared Mitchell for Mason Williams.

A gigantic OF who has been drawing a ton of walks so far. You guys need to realize that if the Yankees take Danks' entire salary, we're going to get a return that you've never heard of before (i.e., prospects outside of the Yankees top 10).
July 22, 201411 yr QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Jul 22, 2014 -> 12:10 PM) Maybe it will be quiet for us because nobody wants our crap? That too, but the Yankees are about to get Chase Headley, so I've already been proven wrong.
July 22, 201411 yr He's not a #5 starter. He's a former #2 starter who is probably more like a #3. That's not how other organizations view him, I can promise you.
July 22, 201411 yr Can't wait to watch a Sale-Q-Noesi-Carol-Rienzo rotation for 60 games It doesn't matter.
July 22, 201411 yr QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jul 22, 2014 -> 12:11 PM) He's not a #5 starter. He's a former #2 starter who is probably more like a #3. Danks is a back of the rotation starter. I can't imagine any team, including the White Sox, views him as a legitimate #3 starter at this point.
