Is Ventura the worst manager in the history of MLB?

Featured Replies

Robin cost us another game today with his idiotic moves and its getting frustrating.

As I noted in yesterday's game thread, I feel he's personally cost us at least 15 games this season. Instead of having the best record in baseball, we are struggling to reach .500.

If he's not the worst, he has to be in the bottom 5 of all time.

I really hope this organization realizes that in the final months of season and makes a change before opening day 2015.

Well this should be fun.

Yes yes yes yes yes yes

I have a vote for the worst thread in the history of Soxtalk.

- Robin makes some questionable decisions

- Robin is liked by the players and loved by the management and he's not going anywhere

- This is clearly not a team that would be 10+ games over .500 if only for Robin

- /thread

For f*** sake, here we go again ! No worries, I'll close the door behind me on my way out.

Oh shut the f*** up. This was a 99 loss team last year. Like they can just go to being an elite team in less than a year.

Ventura won 85 games in 2012. Were you b****ing then?

X2

And :hawk:

Soxtalk a week ago...why is Flowers playing. Ventura's an idiot for playing him so much. Now he is an idiot for not using Flowers as a pinch hitter assuming 100% success if he did.

Getting tired of these bulls*** threads. Get a life people really

There are some games where I agree robin messed up. This is one of those games where his correct decisions didn't work out so children convince themselves they were incorrect decisions by a stupid baby idiot

Not worse than this thread ;)

Soxtalk a week ago...Why did they let Carroll pitch another inning! Soxtalk now....Why didn't they keep him out there!

I watched Frank's speech. To hell with the stupid game.

That said, Robin does need an evaluation at the end of the season. IMO if we have ANY hope of even a 2nd wild card spot in 2015 then HE GONE.

My God, he's not a very good manager but is nowhere close to the worst of all time. Stop acting like a Cubs fan.

Seems like a drunk rant...This thread makes no sense. Teams would be going through a dozen managers a season if they thought this way.

Look, the OP is way over the top. But, in no universe is batting DeAza there a correct decision.

Guy's got an army of publicists here. I tried.

How is it possible that multiple posters with thousands of posts don't realize that sin city is just trolling? He literally does this same act in every thread. I have no idea how the dude hasn't been banned yet.

Terry Bevington just read your post and took great offense.

15 games is a huge stretch, that being said Robin should have never been hired in the first place, no experience at all and it doesn't seem like his OJT is working out well.

Ventura's really bad strategically. He would have been a lot, lot better had he spent 5 years on a ML bench, managing in the minors, or something.

This. 15 games in a season is ridiculous, of course, but somewhere between 2 to 5 games isn't. Many, many playoff appearances , or lack thereof, are decided by such margins.

This team can't afford any handicaps beyond a mediocre roster.

Or posting on message boards. We know all the answers and can tell you what should have been done the moment the play ends. It is funny people who say lack of experience is the problem have all the answers with less experience.
