Viciedo's time is running out for the Sox, it would seem.

Flowers will be much better served in a back up role, and with the year closing, having nieto down at AAA so he can work on framing pitches and getting consistant at bats would do him a world of good as well as serve as some depth.

What makes you think he would clear waivers, or not be taken back by Washington?

Thankfully, he's equally as bad/stupid at the plate. Something I have not seen suggested here - why haven't we seen some Sierra in RF and Avi in LF?

 

IMO, Sierra is obviously much better defensively than Viciedo and ADA and arguably a better hitter. He deserves more time, especially with the position we are currently in.

after this season he doesn't have to clear waivers he will have spent a year on the major league roster and i'm pretty sure he'll have two options.

I'd rather see Michael Taylor in place of Viciedo. He has never gotten a long enough chance it seems.

Threw 4 straight out of the zone to Abreu, he walked. Threw 5 straight out of the zone to Avi, he struck out.

Carlos Sanchez should be getting the most PA out of anyone currently, yet he's batting 9th.. makes sense.
