For all the negative talk about giving pitchers large contracts, those two are probably underpaid right now.

Jeff Francoeur lives! Cubs were a -265 favorite today facing Jerome Williams

Starlin Castro has a -4 wRC+ in July. Is that bad?

Shh. He is getting them a front line pitcher.

Apparently they offered Castro OR Baez, they aren't willing to part with both.

Ahahahahaha

Trading Castro would be stupid at this point. He's a negative WAR player this year.

Cubs now lead baseball in starting pitching WAR. If they then add Price... Yeesh.

I was just looking up park factors and I noticed that in 46 home games this year the Sox have scored 145 runs.

The Cubs have also played 46 home games, and in them they've scored... 145 runs.

The Cubs are 5th in baseball in runs scored on the road at 4.56 runs per game, but they've been completely punchless at Wrigley.

That seems unusual, has the wind been blowing in a lot more than usual this year?

Amaro Jr looking smart

That ball that Ross hit was absolutely killed.

Wind blowing in saved that one.

Suddenly I'm interested in a Cubs game :pray :lolhitting

It's not all zeros for the Cubs, they did make an error . . .

Last chance

That was great!!

Baez or Castro for him. It's s steal Amaro!

I like how Fowler was arguing with the ump after taking a fastball right down the middle.

How many times has Madden been no-hit now? He was there when the Rays were getting no-hit every year.

I wonder if his wife will tweet about it.

The Cubs hit like 3 homers that game.
