Jordan Danks DFA, Phillies claim him

I say retire.

Easy for a fan to say. For Danks, he's got major league experience, very good defense at all three OF positions and some pop in his bat (when he makes contact). If he enjoys playing, he has every reason to keep doing so, as someone will at least give him a AAA role with the potential for a later call-up.

he & Brian Anderson can get together, have a beer, and reminisce about what its like to be a light hitting defensive replacement.

Ryan Sweeney can join them.

he still can have a good career in the minors.

He can play IF he wants, but there is nothing very good about Danks as a ball player that ship has sailed.

well then.

Oh well.

Let's get Amaro Jr drunk and then inform him that Jordan and John are a package deal. :P

Good luck to Jordan.

Are you kidding? Amaro is ready to sign him to a 5 year 100 million dollar contract

Oh, then John shouldn't be a hard sell at all since won't cost as much as Jordan.

This made me laugh. Well done.

One of the unexplained miracles of life on Earth is how R Amaro, Jr. keeps his job.

Jordan Danks played a useful role as a the 4th or 5th OF'er and have some good skills as a defender and some speed on the base paths plus every once in awhile he could hit a game winning bomb. Good luck Jordan

I wish he could have hit a little bit. He'd be a good 4th OF if he could.

No reason for him to quit; he's perfect for AAA and will have more 4th OF opportunities in his future.
