White Sox sign Matt Albers

Featured Replies

HEY HEY HEY, IT'S MATT ALBERS.

Good move, he might could help a bunch

After last years bullpen, why not? I'll take Albers.

Another low risk signing that could be very beneficial. Why the hell not?

Houston Chronicle saying 1.5 mil if he makes the team.

With Albers and Crain in the mix, Daniel Webb and Javy Guerra should probably feeling a little heat going to Glendale.

That is a really nice deal if he stays healthy.

It has a Mitchell Boggs feel to it, but sure, why not?

0.90 ERA last year

Only 10 innings.

There's definitely some competition for the last few bullpen spots and that's a good thing.

Can PECOTA re-run their projection?

3.49 FIP in 63 innings the year before with Cleveland.

He can be a solid middle relief guy.

Nice to get one of the quality relief guys still out there for cheap. Joe Thatcher is out there too.

Not a bad deal if he is ok health wise.

Thatcher just signed with the Astros.

Albers + Coop + Herm = Gold

At my desk.

i actually really like this move... low risk, high reward. more props to Hahn

Yeah that sucks. They got him fairly cheap too.

Another very nice move. I fully expect that one if not both of Crain & Albers could be key pieces for this bullpen moving through the season and providing stability for this pen.

Can't beat these low risk/high reward moves. Brad Penny could be in the mix too.
