This broadcast is too funny listening to KC announcers and coaches talk about how professional Rios is

Once he joins a different team his past goes away.

Well that was a bad changeup

That slider to Escobar might be the best I have ever seen

Why are these guys so surprised about how good Rodon's fastball is? He isnt a mystery.

Its my first time watching Rodon live and the dude can pitch. I was thinking about his pitch repertoire, I knew that he threw a fastball, slider and a changeup but I didn't know that he threw a cutter, which is good for him and his development.

I'd still send him down to Charlotte to work on his command and call him up in May, get that extra year of control

Are we sure it's a cutter and not his slider?

Ya these announcers are extremely uneducated on Rodon and his situation.

Rodon is a K machine tonight.

how's the change up look?

I'd like him to turn it over a bit more but also the camera angle is weird.

Too bad we'll have to wait to watch him pitch again

I do not think it will be all that long till he is starting for good in Chicago.

Same here :D

Bacon doesn't belong on a contending team. I really hope they look for other options.

Royal's broadcast team dam near unwatchable tonight.

This is the Rodon we've been waiting for this spring...

Maybe working with Austin is having a positive effect, muscle memory?

8 k's in 3 1/3 IP. Only two outs NOT by K. Jesus.

9 k's in 11 outs

Facing Royals' OD line-up with the exception of Salvador Perez

Rodon only the fourth pitcher in ACC history to record 400 K's in a career (and he only pitched three seasons).

We should have drafted Trea Turner.

I am really enjoying watching Rodon pitch tonight. I am excited to see him every 5 days very soon.

Do you think Austin gets called up when Rodon gets called up just so he's his personal catcher?

Nope.

Noooo. Austin will be in A ball. He's a ways off and is nowhere near a lock to make it to the bigs.

I was pretty sure that was the case. But with the way Rodon is pitching today, it seems like he's really comfortable with Austin behind the plate.

Over or under royals broadcast group interviews players in game then rodon strike outs lol
