6/30 White Sox at Cardinals

Featured Replies

This is Sale's 100th career start. The Sox are 55-44 when he starts. That's terrible considering how good he is.

It could be worse.

Who in your eyes has been better? Keuchel, Archer, and Gray have been fantastic but not on Sale's level.

nice question, but there has to be a standard to be used to judge the pitchers.

is it based on wins, innings pitched, K's shutouts,

Oh my god that is the most depressing stat I've seen on here in a long time..

I'm being serious it makes me question why I love this franchise

If you judge Sale based on wins, you are f***ing crazy.

It's the opposite, chris hasn't been on their level in anything other than the strikeout title, but I'm too tired to fight this one so I'll just link to the stats.

By advanced metrics he's right up there with all of them. He leads all AL pitchers in fWAR.

If Ventura called for that bunt, he is not allowed on the flight back to Chicago

Of course he would be, he's Jerry's boy

Keuchel is ahead of Sale when it comes to starting the AS Game or the Cy right now. Not really even close.

Exactly. Also, Sale has 1 or 2 starts fewer than everyone else so it's not as fair to compare them.

Would have been nice if Chris had a ST so his April wasn't so bad but alas he didn't and it is what it is. You can make a case for him now with stats and I think you'll be able to make a better case as the season goes on.

If you look at ERA. Otherwise, utterly false.

Sale still has plenty of time to lower his ERA as well.

If the season ended today there's no way Sale wins the Cy Young of course but if he keeps up this recent level the rest of the year he will run away with it.

Lol...at least put some effort in if you're going to be a whiny little b****. For someone who constantly quotes fWAR like it's the bible, I'm shocked your using bWAR & ERA as proof that Sale hasn't been on their level. Chris has the second lowest FIP & lowest SIERA in baseball. He's arguably been the best starter in baseball and anyone saying otherwise is simply looking for reasons to complain about this team.

Poor Sale. His fate is predictable when his team gets him one run.

Hahaha the flail threw the bat in the stands again

Condor, I'm watching your avatar more than I am the Sox when they come up to bat!

I'm in complete awe of the cardinals and what they have been able to do this year. Call up a backup outfielder from the minors and he rakes. Meanwhile on the south side there's no hope in sight.

Why has sale not thrown a change up in a while. It seems like the last time he threw it was the HR ball

Couldn't see from the OF but who f***ed up, Abreu or Avi?

110 pitches but you can't take him out. He'd be too pissed.

Sale hasn't K'ed anyone in a while, he looks tired. A lot of pitches again.

The Sox have no room for outfielders from the minors. They spend $6 million on utility level talent.

Defense is so bad.

Chris Sale is god.
