We hit into so many double plays, where does the offense rank in that?

 

Bizarrely not as bad as it appears. 18th in wGDP (at -0.2), 17th in total GIDP (63). Total GIDP being low makes sense (need baserunners to hit into double plays), but I'd expect the sabermetric rating to be worse.

If the sox want to improve the offense from within then davidson and Micah should be up in the big leagues after the Allstar break

We've grounded into 63 double plays, tied for 16th in the league. (Don't forget, you also need baserunners to ground into a lot of double plays and we are 27th in the league in OBP).
