July 31, 201510 yr If I'm the Cubs, I'm not paying an arm and a leg to move up. They don't have the horses to go deep into the post-season. If I'm the Cubs, I give it the ole college shot and either swing big for a long-term piece or make some small moves that give the impression of us going (an if everything works out, great, we get their) but nothing more. Being over aggressive now, given the position they are in, would be absolutely insane, imo.
