I'm not even sure the Sox really have a plan yet.

If I have to make one prediction though, I think the Sox throw us a curveball and trade Melky Cabrera for an MLB ready player or some prospects. This would allow for the Sox to get even more money off the books for 2017 where they should be able to spend again.

Trade for Brett Lawrie. Sign Asdrubal Cabrera to 1 year $6.5 million deal.

I think we are trading with Dbacks, Reds, or Rockies.

OK post, but why in the hell would a Rockies GM want LaRoche, Sanchez and/or Avi? Those guys are all bottom feeder of rosters so to speak.

If it takes EJ to get Lawrie that's too steep and the Sox only RH pitcher in the rotation though I see Fister and Cahill are both righty's.

Trying to be fair ya know. I'm not sure what Lawries value is and I'm sure EJ value isn't sky high.
