Not at all. No one ever expected or thought we could sign Cespedes this offseason.

Getting Frazier and Lawrie has been fantastic along with the C change.

Id give it an B+ right now, with a solid A/A+ if Cespy signs.

Don't worry, "yes" is getting 75% of the votes

Which means the Orioles, Nats, Angels, Cards, Rangers, Brewers, Cubs....could all still be in on Jackson or Fowler.

If the #WhiteSox don't sign Cespedes, is the offseason a disappointment?

Nice poll :(

it only becomes a disappointment with regards to you made the moves for Lawrie and Frazier but still didn't nab one of the big 3 or make corresponding multiple moves after all of the big 3 are off the board i.e. sign a 2nd tier outfielder and upgrade the SS position to solidify the rest of the offense. if they would have just stood still or sold pieces this offseason I would have been completely fine with that. Just hate seeing our team half ass it in one direction or the other.

If the Nats sign Cespedes, we should see if they'd be open to trading Bryce Harper.

Are you driving Chris Sale to the airport?

Agreed, hard to hate the moves theyve made thus far. The OF situation needs to be resolved, but just because it hasnt been addressed thus far doesnt mean that both of those moves weren't fantastic. You picked up a 3+ win 3B and a 2ish win 2B, that's some solid progress.

A-/B+ for now, but D/F for long-term if nothing else is done because they underestimated difficulties of coming up with value signing or trade/s for an impact bat to really make them competitive.

From a fan excitement standpoint, maybe B-.

It's hard to be elated giving up high draft picks (for Fowler) and still barely be in the conversation for third place.

Like the Orioles still being fourth in AL East WITH Davis, we have more financial flexibility but you still have to pick the right guys (at some point), who also have to actually available...

Washington about to get buried by a blizzard. Don't know if that would have any impact on any FA negotiations.

IF the Nats do sign Cespedes for some reason, I would love for the Sox to try prying Taylor off them. He would be a fantastic 4th OFer option.

This isn't 1883 when they had to walk both ways up hill pulling a cart in a foot of snow to deliver offers on sheets of paper... pretty sure the phones still work.

I would trade Chris Sale for Bryce Harper in a second

He still would cost Adams at a minimum, plus.

Avi, on the other hand....

He, Fulmer, or Anderson can fight for shotgun apparently.

Does it come with a 10 year $300 mil extension?

Sox, Harper only has 2 more years of control

Technically the offseason would be a disappointment. We would still be sitting in the middle. We would still have an outfield that sacrificed about 30 runs last year. You want to let Avi struggle out there fine. Just dont blow smoke and tell me your trying to compete while he's out there dropping baseballs.

If you could guarantee they'd still spend money to fix the huge pitching hole over the next three seasons....otherwise, it would be like Trout these past few years in Anaheim.

You'd only have him three years at highest arbitration level salaries and then lose him.

NO hes going want 500 mil in few years no way I trade for him.

I love me some Chris Sale...but I'd trade him in half a second for Harper.

They will try to sell Werth and/or Zimmerman like we did LaRoche...not forced to dump a Top 50 prospect who flashed lots of positive signs before fading.

Keep in mind, they're $30 million under last year's budget.
