Yes I'd like to put my name on the roster as well. Hope we locked him up for 10 more years

So they are planning on having a three man rotating team for a while then.

Nicely done by the Sox extending Stone. Excited to hear Stone and Benetti together in the both for Sox home games.

Hawk and Stone on the road and 3 home games, Benetti and Stone for all other home games.

You'd think Hawk would rather do home games and cut out the travel.

Wonder what 3 home games Hawk will be doing. Cubs? Or maybe the series where Stone takes off for Yom Kippur?

The 3 home games he's doing are the Cubs games.

He actually has a harder travel schedule for home games rather than away games. Pretty sure he has to commute to and from Indiana for every game. I remember someone on here saying it's 2-3 hours each way.

Why is Hawk only doing road games? He lives two hours from Chicago and commutes every day. Easier to just go on the road. #WhiteSox

Google Granger Indiana.

Ah yes, forgot about him living in Indiana.

He lives two houses down from one of my college classmates.

100 miles from Chicago....Mercy.

Great news, somewhat surprising to see after this morning's news, but I'll gladly take it.

Very surprised Stone signed on. He seemed miserable last year.

Actually it's the home opener and the 2 Cubs home games.

I'd be very surprised if he's been driving home and back after every single home game, especially when a day game follows a night game.

Hawk will probably work the home opener and the Cubs series imo. Being on the road is actually less travel than Hawk; you go to any city and spend 3 days there at a time, as opposed to driving to and from each and every home game from Indiana.

Supposedly he does.

OK, I don't know Hawk's exact time commitments before and after games, but assuming that a game ends at 10:15, he's not getting away from USCF before 11:00 and that puts him home no earlier than 1am [ignoring the time change for now]. For a 1:10pm game the next day I figure he has to be at the park by Noon so he's leaving home no later than 10am. So that gives him at most 9 hours at home and I really doubt it's that much. And he's old. He's insane if he does that. I get that he lives where he lives because grandkids, but there's no time to see them or anybody else so why not get a hotel room?

He's usually out of there 15 minutes after the game. I've seen him in the parking lot before. But I do agree. I would think a day game after a night game he has to hotel it. He's there at least a couple of hours before the game anyway. The whole thing seems crazy to me. He gets home at 1 AM sleeps a little while, probably leaves for the ballpark around 3 or 4 his local time. How much time does that really leave seeing his grandchildren? Of course, he may be doing it for his wife.

The way he is doing it now probably got the Sox a better broadcaster. I would imagine the job of doing all road games wouldn't be as attractive as working all home games.

From these quotes, looks like it might be Harrelson's last season (despite the two-year deal) unless the White Sox are much more competitive this year...

I'm glad Hawk said that stuff. It's kind of embarrassing for the players and Robin that they've been so horses*** it might drive him to quit rather than watch that awful play -- bad fundamentals, horrible baseball basically.

It never hurts to get called out and Hawk called them out in a nice way, a perfect way, by basically saying he's not going to watch Robin-ball much longer.

Frankly guys, I see little out of Robin aside from his first year to think his teams are gonna finish over .500. Hope I'm wrong.
