White Sox rotation ranked 6th in the majors

The cubs have a solid rotation 1-5 but I would still say the Mets have the best rotation and should be #1.

Cubs 1, Mets 2, Indians 4, Tigers 21, Royals 22, Twins 25 (but Berrios/Stewart on the way)

Are you referencing the same Kohl Stewart that's striking out less than 5 per 9 in high A? Lol!

No kidding, Stewart looks like a bust thus far.

The same story we heard on Beck.

Working on sinking two-seam fastball, getting groundballs and keeping pitch counts lower...

Here's another on the same subject...

Spin that any way you'd like, but Spencer Adams had better numbers across the board at High A last season...and he was a year younger.

How are the Cubs #1? Mets have Syndergaard, Harvey, de Grom, Matz, and Wheeler? I don't even know if I'd take the Cubs rotation over the Sox at this point. Sale and Arrieta is a wash. Quintana and Lester is a wash. I think I'll take Rodon over Lackey. Hendricks is probably better than Danks/Johnson but Hammel blows.

The cubs, wat

I'd put the Indians rotation #2 behind the Mets. Carrasco and Salazar are as underrated as Quintana is.

The Cubs have a very nice rotation, especially for the NL, but it's definitely high risk IMO. Arrieta had a 90 innings increase last year, which screams trouble. Lackey is 37 and his ERA was a good 0.8 runs lower than his FIP. Even Lester is due for some regression in the very near future. Even if their big 3 maintain their production for the most part, I have hard time arguing the Cubs have a better rotation than the Mets.

Mets have Colon for insurance too, right?

I'd take our rotation over the Cubs' any day...

This, especially if Fulmer replaces Danks at some point in the near future.

Any time you're drafted top five to ten, you tend to get the benefit of the doubt...unless you're Carson Fulmer apparently.

As excited as I am to see him in our rotation, I want him in the minors for 16 (MAYBE a bullpen stint in September if we need an extra arm for a playoff push).

As others stated, the Mets are also clearly the best rotation in baseball. Harvey/DeGrom/Syndergaard/Matz/Colon or Niese... nobody else can come close to that.

They traded Niese for Neil Walker. But they have Wheeler coming back at some point which is another young exciting arm better than Niese so your point still stands.

Mets easily have the best, they have 3 guys who can be #1's plus Matz who may also very well be a ace or #2-#3 and Wheeler who was thought of as Harvey's #2 at one point and even an ace earlier

I do like where the Sox are headed though, Sale/Q/Rodon is a filthy trio featuring the nastiest pitcher in the league, a criminally underrated #2, and Rodon who may develop into an ace. Danks is still solid on his best days, but hopefully Erik Johnson pans out like he was supposed to and Fulmer remains a top end starter.

I think our Sox may have the best rotation in the MLB in 2017 with Sale/Fulmer/Q/Johnson/Rodon, now if only we had a franchise C to along with that

Yes, Navarro and Avila behind the dish worries me that our pitching will slightly decline since Flowers called such a great game for Sale and his familiarity with the staff

No, I don't think CWS are legitimate contenders in the toughest division in 2016 baseball with KC and DET as obvious favorites

2017 on the other hand has me excited with this rotation and Abreu, Lawrie, Frazier, Melky, and Eaton all under contract with Anderson coming up and hopefully Avi panning out

And for consumption of leftover pizza.

I'm really hesitant to rank our rotation until I see Erik Johnson pitch for a couple months first.

Agreed. Mets should be #1, easily.

No one is as underrated as Quintana. But they're in the same category.

I agree with everyone here. It's Mets, and Mets by a wide margin.
